Girl. Just found your channel and every single video I have watched has blessed me SO much! God definitely provided your content at the perfect timing. Fellow mama and possibly pregnant with my third (which would be 3 under 4). Trusting in God's plan and perfect timing for our family. You are such an inspiration to walking in Christ as a mama. Thank you for keeping up the videos! They are so helpful

I am constantly simplifying our life! Around the house decluttering, appt scheduling, reviewing calendar with my husband weekly, etc. and YES, starting my day early is key!!!! Get prayers going, breakfast started, bottles, meal prepping, emails, kids snacks, etc. 😅

Freezer meals are a great way to simplify life and makes meal planning so easy. I love the recipes where you throw the raw ingredients into a bag and put it in the freezer and then simply need to thaw it and put it in a crockpot or instant pot. Super easy, quick meals

I'm in the decluttering process. It feels so good to get rid of stuff, give it away and finally have space. I like to wake up early to start breakfast, tidy up the kitchen and living room and just have time to myself before work. Even on the weekends before my family wakes up.

Hello Heather, a Catholic grand-Mother speaking from NZ. I love all your videos and the work you do. What I seem to notice is how big and spacious the homes in America are, compared to the small houses here and in England. I observe my children and grand-children struggling to live in tiny houses; kitchens are tiny, bed-rooms are tiny and a ‘play-room’ for children and their toys would only belong to the elite. This makes life very stressful as there’s a constant mess with toys underfoot, no space for home-work, children arguing as there’s no personal space for any one. I think the women of America are very lucky indeed!

Thank you for sharing your home making advice. I love learning how you simplify your life. I always meal prep and keep 2 frozen pizzas in the freezer for days when cooking isn’t possible. It always comes in handy.

Heather - I know you have said that you couldn't do this in the past, but you are MADE to be a homeschooling mom. Whether you realize it or not, you already do a lot in the spirit of homeschooling and would do an amazing job. There are so many curriculums that come in a box and the workbooks walk you through step by step teaching your kids what they need to know (ex: phonics, I was sure I could never teach my daughter to read, and yet, she is reading after less than a year of homeschooling). If you ever discerned it, I know you'd be great at it!!

I’m confident that Heather’s heart is open to the will of God. If she is not feeling lead or desiring to homeschool other people should respect that. Saying this is a calm respectful manner.

There is nothing wrong with schools… it is not anti God to put children in school with teachers who know their subjects

She has mentioned in the past that she would love to homeschool, but her husband would like the children in school and she will be obedient to her husband in situations where they do not agree. I don’t know if that is still the case for Heather (it’s kind of personal), but I find myself in a similar situation with my little one and it’s difficult.

Thank you Heather! What a great topic! It's always great to get other people's ideas for simplifying things to help everything run more smoothly!
So my 3-year-old son enjoyed watching your video too and he wanted to give his own tips for keeping things organized 😍 because you had said in your video to share ideas below so he was like, I want to do that! 😄👍
So my son's tips are, make sure every toy has a home. We also try to keep all of our art supplies in one area and he keeps most of his toys just in his room versus around the house. We did the Marie kondo thing (amazing and hard to do!) a couple years back and we try to have each person have an area to keep their stuff and then we have our common area which is our living room and dining room for things that we all use...
He also wanted to tell you that he knows how to spell "monkey..." 😆

    • @swilson1560

He also wants me to let you know that he also knows how to spell his name. 😆

I actually did the opposite with the clothes. I needed buffer clothes for days when the laundry is still to be folded or washed. I found that having extra clothes gave me, as a part-time working mom, a few extra days . I ended up buying myself new pants for work in the correct size and setting aside the older pants (that were too big) so that I saved time in the morning trying to find something that fit. I will keep the bigger clothes in another downstairs closet, since the money is spent and they might be useful in future. Eventually, if I don't need them I'll donate them. Thanks for the tips! The small purse is a game changer...the only other things I have in mine are lip balm, Kleenex and a rosary or two.

These are really good suggestions. I esp love the socks downstairs idea!! Going to use that to eliminate the annoying extra trip upstairs every day! I would say before you buy a new piece of furniture, see if you have something you can repurpose. Getting rid of furniture can be a hassle, wasteful and unnecessary. Also, less furniture makes cleaning and vacuuming soo much easier!

Excellent! Great ideas! I did much of these when my kiddies were young:) I love games! So when the kids were young, late in the afternoon just before supper, I used to take the kids in each of their rooms. We would play the “Clean Game!” (I made it up one day and it worked;) I would say something like Jenny down the street cleaned all her toys off the floor fastest! Let’s see if we can beat her time! So we would grab the toys and put them away and it was so much fun! The kids were enthusiast (not too much;) giggling then all ✅ done, nice and clean. Great tips for crock pot dinners! 💗 the your time in the morning for praying, lists, etc. God Bless and thanks again!!! 🤗💗🤗☘️💐☘️

We have a church store not too far from us, so once or twice a year, we declutter our closets and donate to them! My mom’s church had a summer rummage sale and the larger things we want to get rid of (hello, panini maker!) go to them!

My husband is a teacher so his hours are earlier than the typical 9-5. We try to honor him and show him we are excited he’s home by preparing a special snack for 3:30! We have popcorn, a baked item we made that day, or a special drink like hot chocolate…. Anything that we can put on the table that is special. Bonus if the sink is clean and no dirty dishes around hah!

Funny, I was literally going through our house thinking about how unmanageable the house it has gotten. I have watched The Minimal Mom, and the ClutterBug on YT for years, and consider myself and family to be more minimalist mindset, but I’m starting to feel like the toys and random extra things are taking over. We moved not to long ago, and still have boxes that have been pushed aside, it would be a good idea to just donate basically all of them. We haven’t used them, we have been here long enough to establish what we use and what we THINK we use..

  • @ashleyslack5960
    @ashleyslack5960 2 года назад

Totally agree about the big clunky toys - play kitchen (they only want to play with the play food and dishes), toy workbench (son only plays with the tools), plastic easel (would rather paint, etc at the table)...etc. When I donated these items, I literally saw half a dozen of the same types of toys lined up at the thrift store drop off point...waste of plastic and money, but even worse waste of space. Kids do not need much besides their imaginations to play well.

Oh fantastic! Thx for posting this. I am new to the Catholic Church. Remarried later in life, and switched from Methodist to Catholic. I had been praying the rosary 📿 each day - then came our new very very rambunctious 6 month old GS rescue! So keeping me busy 24-7 training this wild wild thing, he’s a cutie, and I have managed somehow to calm him (feel like the Helen Keller story, he was so wild had me in 😭 tears at times, but God pushed me through literally God has helped me through and he is becoming a precious sweet calm puppy.).
So I am on for two weeks, then miss 4 or 5 days. But love love the rosary prayers! I will do this! Thank you!!!!! God bless you both! 🤗💗🤗 🙏

Keep praying it, Our Lady is a great intercessor. You may not see the answer you need at least in your view, but tarry God is working out His purpose as day succeeds day. Sometimes God changes you 1st to see and accept His will for your life. I don’t know why I’m writing this, but it took me nearly 2years, to see my intentions during my Novena be laid out in God’s perfection.

God just wants us to have a good moral compass. I’m sure he believes, love is love, times have changed. Why not talk about how to make a difference rather then discriminate against the LGBTQ community.
