“Who doesn’t love a man in a kilt” lol. Also bonnet rippers hahaha this is a great breakdown
Bonnet rippers make me giggle XD
So many categories I never even knew existed 😅 Thank you! 😊
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching ^__^ I learned a lot researching for this video lol
@@ErinKinsella hehe, I can imagine! 😊 Thank you for posting videos about this and other writing stuff 😍 I've just started writing my first books (started with 1 chapter on 4 different books 🙈 ) and need lots of advice 😁 Really want to publish one or more books 😊
Thanks for breaking it down for us!! 💜💜💜
OMG honesty my biggest historical periods of interest out the English canon (I'm from England) are Tang, Han and Qing Dynasty China, and Goryeo era Korea. Qing dynasty China particularly interesting since it was actually the Mongols in the seat of imperial power.
SleepyDoodle I know Jeannie Lin writes historical romance set in the Tang Dynasty. I haven’t read her yet but she’s on my list. I would be 100% into reading a romance set in all those places
As a loud and proud liberal atheist, I would never read a religious romance in a million years. However, when you mentioned that subgenre in your video, it made me wonder…what would a Scientology romance look like? I’m scared to find out. Hehe! Great video as always, Erin!
LOLOL omg I'd be scared to find out too
You’re so right on historical romance 👏👏 I just want people to write historical romance from somewhere else than what everyone else is writing about. I think people forget or just don’t care how many historical events exist outside of WW1/WW2 and it shows.
I can feel the contention from the religious category at first 😂😂 I mean, I don’t blame you I avoid that sub genre like the plague.
It's so truuuue. Pretty much anything is new and fresh when it comes to hist rom. One of the ladies in my romance writers group said she was writing one set in Austria and everyone got SO excited XD
LOL yeah the religious ones are not at all my cup of tea
omg that’s amazing I wanna read one set in Austria XD
LOLOLOLOL I could tell but also same
Kiley Keeling I’ll let you know when it’s ready!

I like death penalty romances...for some reason.
Lilas Duveteux would you mind sharing what a death penalty romance is I’ve never heard of that. Tbh sounds like a tragedy not a romance. 😬😬
@@TwoHeartsOneTARDIS Basically, it works that thanks to the power of love, a person has there life saved. Often times, it involves the executioner falling for his victim and become willing to risk his position for her. "Love comes to the executioner" is one exemple.
Lilas Duveteux thanks for the explanation!
