This song was a sensation. I lived in the East Village NYC when this album was released and it was literally playing everywhere. I remember a 20+ minute dj mix of this in the basement of the underground electronic night club, Save The Robots, which had never played another pop song that I can remember. Today's pop music is all derivative of the songs on this album, which combined emotional vulnerability and real electronic music. A true classic.
Huge track, reminds me of primary school. I lived quite far away from my mum when I was young and only got to see her every 8 or so weeks. I used to miss her a lot and this track would always remind me of her.
This song is really special. If the Beatles had happened in the 90s instead of the 60s, this would've been one of their songs, and one of their signature songs too. That's how incredible this track is.
Hey @muzikxpress would be great if you could get an interview with William Orbit, i'm sure he would be willing. Would love to know what gear he was using on this album. I know he used a lot a few Electro Harmonix peddles...
@@muzikxpress that's a big shame mate. He's a very reserved guy, doesn't like the spotlight on him it seems. Has done very few interviews. Thanks for the reply, love your channel ✌🏼
@@sirwi11iam Thank you! And indeed, there’s not many interviews with him online. Would love to have him on the channel, but unfortunately not every artist likes to do interviews.
@@sirwi11iam I rather not get blocked and be known as an annoying stalker 😜 Sucks for me, but when people tell me they don’t want to do interviews, I’ll have to respect that.
It was mainly produced by Madonna, she did the biggest job in producing and writing, he did help her make the album what it is but he wasnt the main producer of it. But of course...everybody forgets that Madonna is ALSO a producer of her music not only writer (which also people forgets).
So what's your source that it is mainly produced by Madonna? As far as my info goes, it is mainly produced by William Orbit, with help/input of Madonna. I don't see any info online that it was mainly produced by Madonna. As far as I know, she doesn't even has her own recording studio. Correct me if I'm wrong, but all info I can find is that William was the main producer of the album ;-)
Ah ok, well I did a lot of research and I follow both the careers of Madonna and William Orbit, I have over 80 Madonna CDs and records in my collection and tbh I have never ever seen any footage of her actually producing (as in using the technical equipment in the studio/mixing) in the studio.
Great short repo.. but I missed a sample of the Ma Vie Fout... track.. been looking for it Edit: just heard it >> total fuckin bullshit considering plagiarism
I think Frozen is her best song ever, like a prayer is of course also classic but still prefer Frozen. Liked it very much, never understood why a judge here in belgium said it was plagiarism. If i heard both i was like, ok if they is plagiarism they should ban 70% of popsongs.. Glad it was undone this ridiculous decision.
and please dont forget that this video was stolen idea from a videon 1996 of a russian singer " Linda" and her single "Vorona", just check on youtube "Линда - Ворона" and her hairstyle of those times as well was stolen for this madona's video.
So that "Linda" has a copyright on standing around in deserted places dressed as a goth? Not to mention that even her style of goth is completely different from Madonna's. Madonna also had very long hair in that video, while "Linda" had short greasy hair. You're reaching
I remember being in highschool and being absolutely floored by this song. There was nothing else like it on radio.
Still there's nothing like this on the radio!
What A timeless masterpiece !
was nothing else and arguably yet to be ... until now ??? ... whats going on guys ... symbols from nature @williamorbit🔥
In my opinion, this track along the Ray Of Light album is Madonna at her finest. Haunting, sublime.

The strings in this song are my all time favorite!! It just touches your heart and soul with each and every note they hit...
Frozen is perfection.
That’s one of my favorite Madonna songs of all time
William Orbit, such a great producer with a great, unique sound.
Her best album hands down.
Her most beautiful song and one of the most beautiful song ever procuded in the world !! overwhelming production and vocals, and video
Great job on this, Twoon. Great tribute to such an amazing album; probably Madonna's best to date.
My birthday month February is when this was released. One of my favorite songs ever! Frozen is her best work imo.
I believe, her best work.
Madonna has a lot of best works.
Excellent video. You certainly did your homework. "Frozen" remains one of Madonna's greatest singles; the Ray of Light album is still her master opus.
Thank you very much Craig, it is one of my favorite songs from Madonna, really love this one! :)
I still get blown away when I listen to ROL. One of the best albums ever.
I also get goose bumps with this song

silvy0991 thank you! One of my favorite Madonna tracks and also one of my favorite William Orbit productions ever!
This song is perfection! Love the songwritings and mtv.
Very accurate analysis. Frozen is a truly masterpiece!!!
Just one thing: William Orbit also remixed I'll Remember...!
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it!

Easy a top 20 track of the 90s

Omg I didn't know that this album was produced by William Orbit. Cool episode!
Yes it is, he's such a legend! So many great tracks on this album! And thank you!

I think it was in one interview someone said that maybe she...i watched alot of videos about that album and read many articles

Is ride it by jay sean and frozen the same genre? And if so what is this genre?
Thank you!
Great vlog.
Madonna foi super foda com esta música e CD! Um dos melhores de sua carreira! Eu escutava todas as músicas sem pular uma sequer! Thanks #Brazil
O que significa aquele símbolo na mão dela?
Amazing
🌠William 🪐rbit is a Genius💫
Madonna 👑
Great short repo.. but I missed a sample of the Ma Vie Fout... track.. been looking for it
Edit: just heard it >> total fuckin bullshit considering plagiarism
Haha yeah, that was weird right??? And thank you!
William Orbit da man!
Big song!
Very interesting.
The Stereo MC's remix is the best version imho

I agree; that was so weird!!
Frozen also samples Bobby Byrd's Hot Pants (Bonus Beats). Why isn't anyone talking about it?
I don't even mention how "original" the video really is.
cause it doesn't. BYE BITCH LOL
Stfu bitch
I always thought that Madonnas birthday was on the 8th, and not the 15th.!?. It appears that someone in the media got it wrong. Sorry.
The 15th? I said August 16, same as Wikipedia / Discogs etc say ;-)
August 16, 1958
You sound very dutch :)
Haha well I am very Dutch ;-)
Salvatore Acquaviva is no longer available to listen to / frozen song …. What does that say you fan girl
Why do we need a Madge history lesson for one song?
Because that is what I always do before every vlog, not every viewer knows everything about each artist I interview or vlog about ;-)
Valentino Miller because BITCH SHE'S MADONNA
and please dont forget that this video was stolen idea from a videon 1996 of a russian singer " Linda" and her single "Vorona", just check on youtube "Линда - Ворона"

Lol nothing like it. Also thst Linda song was awful 😂
Exactly, it doesn't look nothing like Madonna's music video at all. Lol
So that "Linda" has a copyright on standing around in deserted places dressed as a goth? Not to mention that even her style of goth is completely different from Madonna's. Madonna also had very long hair in that video, while "Linda" had short greasy hair. You're reaching
This song is clearly about the devil :P
Thank you...coz im reading comments like they am i the only one that can see the witchcraft in the video
Disagree. The devil is a Christian concept. Look to greek mythology for this video
No
Look up madonna hecate, as a devotee I can gatentee that she is definitely not the devil lol
When I first watched this video I was so scared
Cold and emotionless person… yea I think Madonna wrote a lot of songs about herself lol
The story is : Genius producer accepts huge payday to make talentless sensationalist sound interesting and edgy. Almost succeeds. The end.
bitch you tried it, frozen Madonna almost done when Orbit came in...he added a lip gloss very effective though. try again next time. BOOM
To me this album was terrible.
😳
