Thank you for this video. I can relate to your experience when watching the docu series. I had a similar experience when allowing myself to heal my ancestral lineage by working through the history of WWII. It took me almost a year to clear the pain and sorrow that everybody involved experienced and that has been passed on from generation to generation.

So difficult, I love my husband very much but he's always drank too much and now after 33 years together its taking its toll on his health. He has no respect for himself, how am I supposed to respect him??...
Not to sound rude but you married him, and you said he's "always" drank too much. Not at all saying you should stay but you have to take some responsibility for what you have allowed and have previously said was ok behavior.
Your respect or lack there of isn't about him. It's about your opinion of what he's done and your opinion of the results of his choices. He still deserves love regardless of where his is emotionally and he is loved at all times whether he believes he deserves it or not. He is going through HIS life experience and you are going through yours independently. If you resent his choices, well it is what it is. But he doesn't HAVE to change for you and you don't have to change your love for him either. You both have the beauty of that choice.

The reason we are forbidden to eat the Apple in Eden is because after eating the Apple🍎 we got the false impression that we have free will thus we no longer be able to receive God's will. Free will is ego's delusion and following free will mostly divert us from our true path, though eventually we have to come back to get on our true path if you don't mind wasting some lifetime. We gain control by losing control. Surrender. Release the tiller.
