I dropped out around the same time and went back for engineering in 2020. I rediscovered this mix recently as it's the perfect thing to keep me focused studying for exams.
I love the fact that so many of us listen to this track and keep coming back throughout our lives. We'll never meet and are travelling different paths but from time to time we visit this holy ground together and all that matters is the moment. This mix inspired me to start DJ'ing eight years ago while my parents were in a divorce. I've since then played hundreds of gigs, of which the biggest had more than a thousand people in the big ass tent where I performed. Some of my best memories for sure. For all the youngsters out there: create music and live music, especially while you're young and have lots of time to learn. It connects you to your inner self and you'll be thankful for it later. Oh, and one more thing. Always store your music somewhere safe, possibly in two places. Even if you think it was not perfect or even bad. Just do it :)

Every time I look up "D&B Mix" on youtube, this is one of the first mixes that comes up. The picture alone makes me want to listen to this, but I always tell myself "I've listened to this so many times. Let me try listening to something else." But then I convince myself to listen to this for just a bit. Then, The Joy starts playing (the first song), and almost two hours later I've zoned out and wound up listening to the whole thing.

The guy at the front desk played it every morning as he sorted through emails and had what looked like a beer. His head was always bobbing up and down - just jamming out like a fool :) I sat with him one morning and shared in his daily practice with my own beer and read a book. This mix is magic - we were just grinning ear to ear the whole two hours. To be honest, I have never been a D+B fan, I even disliked it, but THIS IS DIFFERENT! Well done and thank you.
To be fair DnB sort os slowly went shit the last 5-6 years. The 2007-2010 period was just magical, with class tracks steadly being released. Then Netsky and Camo and Krooked came along and things got big (and started catering to the masses)...

These released around some of the happiest years of my life and when I listen to them I usually lose focus of what I'm doing and I just start reminiscing for hours. I'm not at all sure if SuicideSheep had any idea what kind of impact these mixes would have on our lives when he made them, but I hope he visits some of these older mixes just to read the comment section. It's an awesome thing to see them still active after a decade. People are discussing how their lives have changed in drastic ways over 10 years and yet when they come back it feels like time never moved.

Every SuicideSheep Mix from 2012-2014 stands the test of time. But while I say that, I still get hit with waves of nostalgia. These released around some of the happiest years of my life and when I listen to them I usually lose focus of what I'm doing and I just start reminiscing for hours. I'm not at all sure if SuicideSheep had any idea what kind of impact these mixes would have on our lives when he made them, but I hope he visits some of these older mixes just to read the comment section. It's an awesome thing to see them still active after a decade. People are discussing how their lives have changed in drastic ways over 10 years and yet when they come back it feels like time never moved.
The comment that hit me harder than I expected. I also found this back then and still listening to it my life has changed quite a bit but this remix is something special it has a special place in my heart so may memories of the time just nostalgia and yes the comments like sometimes make you nearly cry these stories hit different.
Still here 10yrs later and still loving it. Great choice of tunes and great mixing. Big up urself and thanks for the audio pleasure. Here's to another 10 years.......
