    i struggle with my mix voice since i have a natural really soft-and-tend-to-use head voice all the time when i sing, even if it's on the lower notes. that's why when i sing in pop genre i produce not so powerful voice compare with most people who sing pop most of their time. it's not really a problem when i sing in a choir (i sing soprano part) but when it comes to solo (any genre), i struggle a lot! but now i found your channel, and i find it so clear the way you explain. I love it! now i really need to practice. lol
    ps : pardon my english, it's not my main language.

    your teachings are so good. thank you so much.
    as a suggestion, you could do videos to help people who want to do voice-overs for audio-book narration, movies, anime, cartoons, etc. there are lots of people like me that want to learn how to use their voices more effectively.
    if you do videos with the word voice-over and other words from this lexicon, in the title, you could attract more viewers. I understand that your niche is mostly singers. if you want to amplify your niche a bit, consider the voice over.
    also, you could consider having a Patreon, or something like that.
    thank you very much. greetings from Portugal

    "Good Singers are aware of what it feels like..." I can't feel anything in my head when I sing (or it isn't perceptible to me) and yet I am told that I am good singer. Actually one of the better singers at karaoke, but then that may be subjective from the listener. As you can guess this was difficult for me to do as I cannot feel a thing. I am concerned that I am singing in falsetto and not realizing it. Which not something I aspire to do. I would love to get wav files of your chest/chest mix/head mix/head voice in samples so that I can analyze it with a spectrogram. Can't do it off of these videos as the upper frequencies are removed when creating mp3s. If I had something concrete to work with I can modulate how I sing to produce similar formants. I can sing low and high so it doesn't matter which range is represented.

      Tip only, hope it helps in your singing. Singing in chest voice, you will feel something vibrates in your chest while singing in head voice, you will find something vibration in the back of your head. That's it, hopes it helps. Happy singing.

    • @Victoria-Victorious

      What sounds like a "full chest voice" can actually be a chest mix. Some singers just do that naturally without even thinking about it while others have to learn how to do it.

    Question Madam, I'm a baritone, and after the F#4, G4, and G#4 my mix suddenly(and it really is noticable) changes quality and becomes more "heady" so to say, it's quite a bit squeakier. Is this a definitive sign that the voice has shifted over into head mix, or is it just the way my voice is? And if so, is there a way of thickening the A through C notes (i.e. making them sound "chestier") ?

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  3 года назад +2

      I really cannot answer your question without seeing and hearing you. However, that is getting pretty high for a baritone and the voice does need to shift *gradually*. It sounds like your shift is not gradual. As a general tip, try to think and approach those high notes as "lighter speech" rather than flutey and floaty. Be sure not to force your voice.
