I’m the same as you hendo. I like buttering back into the brick.. in fact I’ve actually adapted the pick and pull technique on the longer runs. Spread the bed, scrape it back away from the cavity and don’t even butter the brick.. took a while to get used to it but it’s so much quicker on the longer runs. Working on a straight wall at this submarine port rebuild. I laid 750 today… that included drilling ties into concrete slab every 7 course and putting wire on top of every second course. Nightmare but still chucked a few in
Very clean brickwork, considering how hard it is the keep brickwork clean in Australia due to the sand and brick type unlike the UK, also I'd love to see a video on how you set out the veneers for bricking up(profiles setting out peirs, heights ect)
The cleaner you keep your trowel the less smears you have scraping the bed joint mortar only thing I seen was bricks seemed leaning forward a lil bit on that section u recorded but too notch I love masonry
HENDOS HOODIE DROP NEXT WEEK! STAY TUNED
That young man's work is cleaner than most of the bricklayers I've worked with in the past 30 years.
A true artist.
Well done Ty. We will get you when we will build our second house.
That's some nice work, all the head joints line up perfectly. Nice clean workmanship to.
