Just purchased an old fashioned Dakota 1400 Roof top tent that I chose OVER a hardshell rooftop to put on my Patrol roof rack . Why you ask ?? Its lighter (57kg ) , It only takes half the roof rack and I can remove it by myself when not in use unlike a heavy hardshell . It also was only $1500 compared to nearly $4000 for the Sabre I was considering .Other than the hardshell , the Dakota has all the 23zero features and quality of the Sabre . The only con is it takes 2 minutes longer to pack away . Worth it imo . Dont write off the older style roof top tents . I love mine ( I also kinda think hardshells look like a Coffin on your rack lol ) Also added an EXPED self infating mattress ..... pure bliss with the money I saved , so comfortable .

Hey Nas. I’m thinking of getting a 23ZERO 270awning. I know you say they’re good but as this is an older vid, is your awning still going good?

I'm still happy with the 23zero awning. I have the Osprey on my car now. I'm planning some upgrades on my camper. I'll look at the pro version next which can be used without poles when needed.

I hate off camber enough, without putting the best part of another 100kg up there!
