Coxone used to play this on dub plate mixed by Gussie Clarke at king tubby studio plus Kingston 11 used to hear it in 4 aces in Dalston in the 70s awesome tune RIP prince Lincoln.
Yes hiya I man remember them days massive hit in london me use to rub every gaal pon wall at blues party true memories me parre. Big chooon for Lincoln r.i.p. my brotha.
One of the biggest tunes ever recorded, thought no one could cover this song...but take a listen to John legend and the roots band version...might be nicely suprised...Lincoln the voice Thompson...❤
Do you know Coxone had another Prince Lincoln tune which i heard once in a club across the road from Mile End station which no longer exists and Fredlocks made his 1st appearance in the UK i think it was 1976 ive never heard the tune since didnt even get the title of the tune. Unfortunately it was never released but what a tune if my memory serves me correctly Blacka dread was the one who played the tune not Festus that aame night Coxone was playing Sufferer sound in Georgian in Croydon ive tried to get the name of the tune ive even asked the great Festus himself who actually told me the name of the tune via Facebook but I lost it its not San Salvador or Daughter's of Zion the tune remains a mystery up to this day but haven't given up hope of finding out the name of the tune. Coxone sound system waa like that they would play a wicked tune and you wouldn't here it again.
Could it have been a tune called, UNCONVENTIONAL PEOPLE? Just thought i'd help out where I could. If it's not the tune I just mentioned, I hope when you finally find it that you give me a shout to let me know the name of the song. Good luck. Give thanks.
The medley your referring to, is it - ''THIS IS LOVERS ROCK'' by Eargasom? If it's not, then what's the title of your medley & who is it by? Give thanks.
