Corliss Model Steam Engine

This is a completed Corliss model steam engine running under live steam for the first time. The engine was a casting kit from Coles Power Models. This took 14 months to complete and was finished in April of 2017. The boiler was completed in 1993, and it was a materials kit from a company that is no longer in business called Saturated Steam.

That is absolutely beautiful work. Coles website is offline, and the last update on their facebook page was years ago. Corliss kits are difficult to find these days. I'm on the hunt! Congratulations on such a beautiful product.

I can tell this is a very beautifully machined Corliss engine...one of the nicest ones I've seen and runs like a watch. The deatil is just marvelous and to scale.
Your vertical boiler with wooden lagging is simply gorgeous with all the finely machined true to scale fittings and fitments. I seldom comment on RUclips but this is extraordinary work and mechanical engineering at its finest. Well done. Lester Bowman.
