This was just the perfect lesson for me at this stage - starting to get me away from strumming chords alone. Great paced lesson and arrangement. Thank you.

Love the Rock 101 site, its been a huge help to my uke playing. Just a suggestion....maybe a 2-3 second pause before starting playing instead of playing right away? If you are trying to play along on an uke, it is a mad scramble to unpause the video and then get your uke in potition and hands on the strings to start playing.

Thanks for the feedback, Shannon. I'll pass it along to Matt :) - Andrew

I haven’t even made it all the way through yet...and I’m sure my family is getting sick of it...but somebody has to suffer for my art, right? :D

The D7 bar chord is incredibly tricky. Any advice on how to bar index finger on all of the 5th fret and have the middle finger on string C 6th fret?

With barre chords, most of the time, folks struggle with one of two things: finger strength or form. If the former is the issue, than one or more notes in the chord will not ring out. If the latter is the issue, than it can be corrected by adjusting your form. I’d recommend checking out these two lessons, they cover the fundamentals of barring.
      Proper Left Hand Form: rockclass101.com/proper-left-hand-ukulele-form/
      Barre Chord Boot Camp: rockclass101.com/ukulele-barre-chord-tutorial/
This is a good exercise that you can run to practice barring: ruclips.net/video/ea6Z0yzJubc/видео.html
This will give you something fun to play while also helping to build finger strength. You can switch up the exercise by using different barre chord shapes. The exercise simply involves moving a shape up and down by half or whole steps. 🙂
If you’re still having trouble with barres, feel free to share a video on our forum. I’d be happy to take a look and offer further advice: rockclass101.com/forums/forum/rock-class-101-ukulele-lessons/

Do you think it would be wrong to play this with a Low G?

No, but it will sound best with high G.
