Thank you so much for sharing; I took the jump and I was way too early. I struggled for months to get by when first starting out because I worked for someone else for so long I was lost not knowing where I was going or how I was traveling.😂 I appreciate you and this video because it truly is exciting, depressing, and scary (probably a few others as well) all at once!
It's my pleasure to share!! Sometimes we have to build the plane on our way to the destination, but it's always worth it
I work a 8-6 I’m going to start a scoop business wish me luck
You got this!!
Are you hiring and looking to expand?

Hi! I have a small part-time pooper scooper business & live in a rural area. I was thinking about targeting large apartments, condos & HOAs in a farther away metropolitan area (like 40-50 miles away). Do you do any commercial businesses where you scoop the property? If so, what do you think your average charge is per business? I'm just trying to figure out if it would be worth the drive.
We currently service 5 commercial properties, with one of them being around 45 minutes away. I would say at the minimum you'll want to aim closer to $80-100 an hour (including driving time) in your bid since these types of properties will take a long time to service and you can scoop 3-4 smaller yards in the time it takes to scoop a large commercial property.

I have a question. I currently use jobber for my pet waste removal business but I’m having trouble, how do you invoice people on a prepay schedule? I’m trying to implement that but it just seems like a hassle since I have to input everything manually.
Great question! You create a job and you select "Fixed Price" for how you want to invoice and then select when you want the invoice to be created (I do the 1st of the month). If you have their card on file then you can select the option to get paid automatically so it'll always charge them on the first of the month and you don't have to think about it.

Stuck in a non compete rn, once thats exempt I'm on my own, why make 40% when you can make 100%?
Only if you're ready to make the commitment to deserve the whole 100%! Being an employee and being an owner are two different paths
@PoopScoopsForNoobs Very much so, it will be a long and hard journey but I need to start working for myself. You have definitely helped inspire that vision bro.
@dogswithchips2397 you got this!! How long is the non compete for?
@PoopScoopsForNoobs Thanks man! I am hoping with the recent ruling by the FTC it will be exempt by this fall, unfortunately it could be shot down, there is already some push back on it from the chamber of commerce and some other large buisness firms. A judge has agreed to block the rule against said firms but hasn't agreed to block it nationwide, there should be a final ruling come Aug. 30. If it's blocked I will probably look to switch jobs and wait out the original agreement, which is one year after leaving the company.
Bro im only like 1 city away from you.... how would i compete? Im assuming there is plenty of customers to go around anyways.
Where are you located?
