I'm surprised that so many content creators don't seem to realize that if we pause to catch up to the lyrics, that having the screens down in the bottom has the text covered by the paused progress line, time, volume, settings and other icons.
Also the interpolation of him singing "all night long,we rock to this" are two songs. Warren G's "Regulate" and Michael McDonald's "I Keep Forgettin'". Third one of him singing the title comes from Hall&Oates "Maneater". Listen to those songs I tell you!

Absolutely loved your reaction Shawn! I agree that JK sounded just like Michael Jackson in this video. When I first saw this, it just blew me away! His dance moves were eerily similar to MJ. It was like Michael's spirit took control of JK & was performing through him. I also agree that this amazing song should win song & video Love easily win on any award show. With his jaw dropping dance skills, & his captivating, almost supernatural falsetto voice, I don't see how any other artist can compete. Standing Next to You is a total masterpiece!
I'd be shocked if this were not up for SOTY and AOTY. The only things he has going against him are the bias of the Grammys and the fact that he came from the world of KPop. This is obviously NOT KPop, but that doesn't mean it won't still be held against him. The thing he has working for him is it's out early enough that the world may overtake the bias because the songs and the album are so huge. Look how long it took for the Grammys to even consider giving BTS a stage. Then go look at the BTS MMA 2019 performance, which to me was the most spectacular, best live performance of all time, regardless of language or genre.

The funny part is everyone seems to think they're the only ones who've noticed and feel the need to tell everyone. "Biggie Smalls" in I LOVE THE DOUGH. I can't remember the name of the ORIGINAL SONG ( I wanna go out on a limb and say it's Rene & Angela singing the song, But I'm NOT SURE 🤷🤔). I've noticed that many of these Korean performers pay homage to R & B acts.
Kpop as a whole is clearly inspired by mj (dancing and singing at the same time for example and makeup )
