What problems are you trying to solve by encapsulating an electronic device inside a glass tube ? It's little wonder these so called "copy cats" didn't copy it anyway, instead encapsulating it inside a metal cage which is going to offer a high degree of shielding compared to glass.
First off, it's aluminum, so I'm not sure what it will shield well, but it's not RFI (copper) and it's not EMI (steel). Furthermore, the AGD does not have the module inches from a giant magnet (torroid) nor even inside the chassis shared with the power supply. It's outside the chassis. Distance from an emitting offender is always best. The glass is to observe/admire the circuit. Not to shield.
and what is really bad is it most likely sound just the same as what they are copying. So the real stupidity is people spending this type of money for any of this stupid shit.
Totally. Is your Alpinestars made in Italy still or is it Pakistan these days ? Dianese sold out.. nothing like a $1500 Arai that needs to be changed every, what ? 3 years now ?? Aaaand, the $25K Superbike seems to be the norm. So spend your money on whatever sold out to China bullshit you want, but we all buy stupid overpriced shit. And all the good Italian bike brands have Chinese parts.
Just take the su-r1000, it also uses GAN tech plus LAPC, plus bypasses chip and doesn´t use up amps, while having basically a DAC inside. 10k USD, amp/DAC/riaa/headphone out/watt meters/remote. Plus the thing also uses battery tech.
Is the copy catting (if thats a word) the use of the GanFet circuit? If the Mytek uses a fake tube and AGD is using a real tube they designed how is it a copy? The AGD amps tubes are replacable correct? Going by the pictures the mytek is again using the "fake tube" they wouldn't be? The AGD seems to be the better value in that regard. Point is if its the tube we are talking about it's probably even more nefarious on Mytek's point as they are trying to make it look the same when its not. I'd be curious of head to head sound to hear the real differences

@michaelsegel8758 God bless the inefficient, hot, heavy nuclear reactors we get to put in our homes. They have magic that Class D can never equal. So if you are about saving money on your electric bill, then class D is the clear choice. If you are shopping for Acora, your Electric bill is completely irrelevant, since those speakers start at $30 or $40K currently. Fischer&Fischer does the same thing for less than half the price... its the clear winner IMHO...
