- Not being a super popular game after all this time waiting for release is probably a harsh reality if your someone hoping for it to really bang and shake the industry, it's a not necessarily a bad thing though.

What do you think of XDefiant so far? It's not my favorite shooter out rn (finals is), but it's a pretty fun arena shooter that embraces older arcade shooters imo.
Definitely needs to be refined more but it for sure has potential

I think videos like this are important because you are criticizing while also having some positive ideas as well. The gaming community has gotten to a point of doom and gloom it’s refreshing to see someone with at least something good to say. Hope your channel continues to grow 🙏🏼

First mistake is dropping it on Ubisoft Connect and not Steam. I didn't even know about it's release because of that.
I give this game until the end of the year before the plug is pulled. The gameplay is alright but I don't think they'll be able to effectively monetize it. The characters don't particularly make me want to get skins for them, and so far the gun skins are just run of the mill COD camos. Will be back at the end of the year to see how well my comment aged
The game just came out, most games don't have great launch cosmetics so you can't really judge off that. Seasons 1 and 2 will be way more telling cosmetics wise
@@save_KaJ Sure, the cosmetics for Apex Legends wasn't great on launch either, but it had a good base to work off. The characters were unique and compelling. Nothing about X-Defiant's character design lends itself to good cosmetics. Perhaps they'll redeem themselves with the weapons but I can't help but sense a shutdown in the next few months. I'd like to be proven wrong, I really would. It would be good to finally have a contender to give Activision a run for their money.
They have a whole library of characters they could add, I don’t think it’s a problem that’s hard for them to solve. They’ll probably charge to play as ezio or specific far cry characters etc, how much they lean into them to give the game some kind of personality is a question mark fs tho
@@save_KaJ I would honestly pay money to get to play as Vaas from FC3 or Sam from the old splinter cells. Hopefully they preserve their personalities. Lets see where it goes.
It's probably a bit innacurate to use viewership as an indication of the player base. Keep in mind that it's not exactly an entertaining game to watch. However, I do still think that the game isn't the next COD killer. Just like FIFA, there are hardcore suckups that will buy it every year despite getting shafted. My prediction is that this game will have a small and niche, but dedicated player base by the end of the year
i agree with you xdefiant is pretty good and I ply cod as well I think we just need to wake and let things set in.
Ye as long as they’re decently quick with updates I think it can find it’s place too
