Now a serious comment: I thought the GT7 community wanted more variety. From your introduction it seems you are getting it. But you give the impression this variety isn't that welcome.

That’s because we’ve focused so much on idealizing change that when we get it, and it doesn’t live up to expectations, it’s a disappointment. I don’t think the GT community even knows what they want anymore. On the surface level, the requests are simple: new race cars and classes, new tracks, and of course, variety. But as far as the complex and technical parts go, it’s not exactly what people want. I think some people just want ACC car lineups copied into GT7 and leaving the rest behind.

Race “C” this week is good, but race “B” is where it is happening for me. And holy cow race “A” has the ability to tune everything in suspension, EVERYTHING in a Mazda. It is awesome!! Hope you try that out Rory and share your set up.
I'm really enjoying the variety ,prefer the shorter race Cs myself on the hr and half past and I think they need a race D for longer races .I would have it endurance i.e a set time 40 min to an hr rather than laps .
Yes we def need a Daily Race D for endurance races, I loved Spa last week!
Keeping the player pool fat is job 1. Weather and tuning might decrease players. I didn't race spa last week because 2 10 lap races per hour would have made more sense to me.

rumors (!) are PD have help from someone in the pro scene (M Hizal?) to finetune the BOP, so that we get a wide meta with lots of viable cars and they'll go step by step (tirewear was obviously not tested yet?)
Opening weekend at The Glen this weekend April 6-7, you can drive the long track for $25. Only it's gonna snow, so that'll be fun.
Almost anything on Wattys is a good race, it's just a good track to race on

It wouldn't be so bad if the tow weren't so unrealistically strong. Rory knows how to race. It's just really tough to judge at times.

I brake everytime someone bumps me. That strat is for low key grifters bump drafting right before corners.
@@TonicofSonic That's not the way bump drafting works, mate. This strategy is used to push you and the guy in front along further away from the pack behind. It's just good strategy.

Good race I'd recommend you pit lap 1 or lap 2 since you'll be able to undercut and adapt to the car's tire changes more efferently.
This week, I have noticed a lot of dirty drivers. More than normal to be honest.
What are your Traction Control and ABS Settings in GT7?
On gt your faster without traction control so none at all and max abs
I sometimes hate GT7 daily races and this is another daily race what i enjoyed after so many boring races.. The last rlly good race was like 3-4 months back when they delivered Nordshleife with Supra, LFA, F40 and other cars.. This setup for this week looks good but make 2 more races so u can pick from 5 dailys would be big step to better game
Last weeks Spa with dynamic weather and 20 laps was by far the best in a long time imo

@@adrianvizner9856 i also drive on controller, and i love racing in the rain. But out of the ~20 races i did only 4 or 5 was rainy and only 2 of them with heavy rain

I know, can't make everyone happy, especially people like him who just sit and play it all day everyday.
I think polyphony did great with this one. Just entering and exiting the pit creates additional variable that can be enough to lose or gain a position
G'day Rory. I'm really enjoying this week's daily C. I get two races and hour, a bit of strategy deciding when to pit, if to change tyres. For me as a B/occasional A driver last week's C was very boring, I get punted off early in the race then drive around by myself for 45 minutes.
What do you think about the fanatec possible bankrupt ?
This is the first daily race I have took part in for about a year.... and it's a belter! Shame in dr b tho, should be able to claw back to A
Watkins Glen Gr.4 has given some really nice close racing for me. Even if I'm not on the podium at the end the battles are so satisfying.
Long time follower. Keep up the good work. Do you have any recommendations for WTC600 Tokyo Expressway Race in the rain? I’ve tried all of the custom tunes from GT Planet’s Priano’s tune to reading , watch multiple RUclips videos, and tried almost every Reddit post on this subject. I just can’t seem to make any car work as my best finish is 5th. I’ve paid attention to the dry driving line and nothing helps. Please make a video on how to beat this one race. Thanks.

I think the confusion is a direct result of PD trying to be everything for everyone without actually adding more races.
People want tuning races so PD appeases those folks.
People want longer races so PD appeases them.
They may also be trying to find out what race type draws the most players to the daily races.
Yeah they're prob testing the waters. Probably for GT8 to see if more Daily's are viable.
With Spa last week, a lot of racers quit. That's not good for lobby filling, especially if people wanna jump straight from Daily B to C, they had to wait 50+ mins. Not very logical.
Daily D for Gr1/2/C/SF.
Daily E for Endurance.
@@freedom_born but drivers quitting is always going to be an issue for all but the most hard core among us. I mean...unless the matchmaking system manages to do MUCH better there is always going to be a pretty big disparity in driver abilities so you will have a few drivers just disappear into the distance while the rest of the field gets massively spread out. I have been in many MANY races where for the last half of the race I was just driving around by myself. I wasn't fast enough to catch the guys ahead but I WAS fast enough to stay ahead of those behind me.
I do think a dedicated Daily for longer races might help alleviate some of that because people would have other choices.

Yeah that's the thing though, if Lobby's empty half way through a race, then it's almost a failed model. It's not really about abilities of a driver, if say, they get punted off and receive the pen. Effectively making their race impossible to achieve a rank up.
Not to mention the wait for the next race, they'll have to go to race B if they want a race within the next half hour, and that's essentially just a sprint where nobody really cares about being clean.

That's why they need a Daily D and E.
To offset the wait times. But again, there needs to be enough of a player base to warrant those extra Daily's.
Daily D by itself would work. But I think they're (PD) testing the waters for GT8, cos there's little chance they'll add extra Daily's for GT7.
But here's to hoping they do.

A few seem to make a decision on a meta for the week and everyone else follows what's happened to racing for racing winning means nothing in daily races unless it's a good race. If only the top lot would use different cars not just the META

Gr4 are boring. Why do we hardly get gr2 or higher and only a choice of 3 races, pathetic really. This weeks races are mince. I love this game but it could be improved with more options. I think we should at least have a dynamic weather choice and gr2 every week.
