Great Review! Watch James Wright here comes HO Scale Railfan. Very positive review compared to the more negative reviews out there. Two points I like to bring up that people seem to ignore, but I think is very important. First, Scale Trains lack of putting a parts diagram on their instruction manuals for their locomotives (they do it with their cars). As we modelers all know that over time parts get damaged or lost and it would be big help when we contact them for parts. Secondly, why the truck immoblizers? I find useless and could be more cost effective to have them modeled into the clamshell. Also, the movable cab windows are not necessary and kind of annoying. I think moveable cab doors would be a more interesting detail like Proto 2000 did in their early days.
Great review, it looks like they paid too much attention to the box and detail that the model dosnt perform as good as you think it would. It seems like it's only meant to be displayed on a shelf. I'm not hating on the way you review models, I'm just addressing what's wrong with the model.
I only own 2 Scaletrains locomotives, but compared to most other engines I have, I can say that the model does run smoothly. The only issues I came across were the pilot slant issue and from other people, the sensors for the frog clank/curve squeal noise causing sparks (I haven't experienced this).
Nah. There are additional lighting and sound features added to the locomotives. Also the fact that Museum Quality locomotives are usually types that were ordered by a single railroad (UP being the sole buyer of the turbines, MILW for the SDLs and SP for the SD45Xs.)
Yeah, subtitles won't be leaving the channel anytime soon. I'm not a particularly vocal individual, and I certainly am not a fan of listening to my own voice being played back. When I feel I've reached an appropriate milestone, I'll start using my voice for reviews. But, again, that won't be anytime soon.

about halfway through the video, after running train noise stops, it sounds like your toilet is running/leaking
That's because of the fish tank in close proximity to my layout. There really isn't anything I can do about it when there's nothing running.
You did not hear the dynamic brakes because the SDL39 does not have them.

@@hoscalerailfanI have ~30 Scaletrains locos and have only seen one where the plow caught a switch.
Is the only difference between Museum and RC the box detail?

Could not finish watching this review. Got tired of trying to read the sub titles. Maybe I'll make it thru the next one.
