For everyone complaining about racking or shooting delays in pool videos remember that if you're watching this on a computer you can press J to skip 10 seconds back and L to skip 10 seconds forward. K pauses. After clicking on the video twice to pause and then resume you activate the arrow keys for 5 second skips. If viewing on a mobile device you can double tap the left and right side of the screen to skip forward and backwards 10 seconds. Get used to doing this and you can be much more efficient with your time and consume a lot more content.

the rule for this event (BCAPL) is rack your own. Mike pulled some shenanigans by asking the ref to watch Dennis rack. Dennis's frustration almost cost him the match until he sassed it up to the ref.

Haven't watched this match yet, but if you're referring to Dennis he always gives a version of a soft high five, open handed congratulatory shake.
EggrollsGaming Listen to the announcers. They talk about it. He rotated the rack counterclockwise a bit so that the second ball in the rack was more visible to hit, and the corner ball in the rack is more likely to fall. The ref made him reorient the rack several times, but it still didn't seem centered.

7 foot, regulation size is 9, they use small tables to try to cluster balls more, then use magic racks so the basis fly in the holes. why? because they're morons. why aren't the pockets smaller on this already tiny table? because the tournament director enjoys terrible pool and watching the better player lose half the time. pockets need to be 4 inch MAX. I like how they rip on the guy for the way he chalks. I got flack for doing the exact same thing, lol. Most people chalk like they're drilling for oil. I layered it like that which actually lets you use the whole cube and gives you a good coat without grinding the tip down faster. Which was he second reason I would get flak, my chalk would wear into a thin layer and eventually break into four pieces, which I'd still use, lol. So, for 1/2 the cubes life I'd have this tiny slab of chalk I was using which everybody would notice.

I love Jay and Bobbies stories. Keep it coming guys. Would love to meet these guys in person. My wife and I and my son and his wife went to the 8&10 ball championships this year 2018 at Griffs here in Las Vegas. I was hoping they were the commentators but they weren't. But I did get Shane Van Boening to sign my cue case. That was cool. Shane is a very nice guy. Also got Oscar Dominguez's auto graph. Met Shane McMinn and Josh Roberts.. Great day. I will go every year from now on. I am a pool junkie for sure.

I agree. The players are great but these commentators are so into themselves. They criticize every mistake as if they never made any mistakes themselves. It is annoying how their announcer's microphone is so close to their mouth and jacked up to the point we can hear them gasping in breath before they speak, yet the microphone used for the players and table area is almost totally shut off. Total BS.

unfortunate that there are so many nuances to this game that the refs and whoever's in charge aren't keen enough to enforce strict rules. commentators or whoever spots these things should notify directors of these things.. easy fix could have been ref is in charge if magic rack is misalign and gets to approve the final rack after player racks.

It's the chances that they will win the match based on the score and the Fargo rating. 50% means both chances have an equal chance. The higher Fargo rating is the better player so an even score favors that player winning. And for those not familiar with the Fargo rating system, a player with 100 point higher rating is twice as likely to win any one game on average. It's based on lots of games averaged over time and adjusted mathematically so the percentage is fairly accurate. Of course it doesn't account for who is doing better at the time, nerves, distractions, and all the other factors.

OB...they're one of his sponsors...I use their OB 1+ shaft on my Meucci original and the OB 2+ on my McDermott. He has a black ferrule on whatever shaft he's using, he's probably using the plus pro shaft

What do the percentages under the player names refer to?
It's the Fargo rating system that takes in to account their record of playing on a bar table and makes a percentage that changes rack to rack so Dennis was favored like 3-1 at the start of the match before a ball was hit but if you notice not until mike went 3 up did he become more then 50-50 on the winning

I can't believe Dennis is getting away with pattern racking and shifting the direction of the rack to make the corner ball.

pattern racking is a hard call to make in 8 ball. the rules for racking only designate the two balls behind the 8 and the 2 corner balls. because the sets are basically interchangeable you'd have to be putting every ball in the same position each time to have it called on you.
