imagine a reverse scenario with an EU exclusive version of the game with really strict laws preventing lootboxes and other forms of monetary exploitation
I'm Chinese and let me tell you how bad the Chinese version of clash royale actually is. You see, the increased stats for all cards actually happened because Tencent wanted pay-to-win players to have greater advantage over FTP players, by increasing the stats difference of cards of each level. For example, they made level 14 cards have 30% more stats compared to a level 13 card instead of the original 10%. This change altered tons of interactions and made gameplays for FTP player with lower leveled card extremely unfair. At the time, players are quitting the game and famous Chinese Clash royale streamers lead players to boycott the game until Tencent rollback the update only after months. Similar things not only happened on clash royale but other supercell games too like clash of clans. Just few weeks ago, Tencent introduced the ticket currency in the game that allow players to max their base in just one single purchase (for couple thousands of yuan). Players felt betrayed by Tencent and have no choice but to continue playing because that's the game that they have spent years of effort into.
Other mind-blowing changes in Chinese version of COC includes, deleting anything related to skeletons from the game. This is because that, according to the Chinese government policy, skeletons are like the sign of death and is bad for childrens to even see that. For this reason, all the skeletons sign from the air mines are wiped off and the skeletons spawned by the witch and skeleton spell is replaced with "Iron Minion".
For the increased value for higher leveled card in China CR, it is actually a move made by tencent to encourage p2w (I'm not joking). Tens and thousands of Chinese player including me wrote letter to Tencent, and they eventually reverted the values back.
I actually like the idea of a version of ladder with banning cards and alt decks, it gives people a way to deal with ladder without having to go against the card that frustrates them most every single time (looking at you, Hog Rider). I also think the Card Chests and Ticket Pass can be added to the international version of the game if the keys and tickets are made earnable WITHOUT spending money.
@@evilshadowshadow1249 That's why I said to make this mode a different one from Trophy Road and Path of Legends (so it can remain the player's choice without it getting in the way of standard rankings).
you really don't understand anything at all do you? tencent owns the majority of shares from supercell, so they have the right to make their own addition to the localized version of their games. it has nothing to do with being "power hungry" or world domination. At least try to be more discreet or seem more neutral with your political views on a website with children on it.
Btw supercell is actually owned by tencent: "In 2016, the company was bought out by Chinese conglomerate Tencent holdings, taking an 81.4% stake in the company valued at €8.4 billion."

please allow me to explain here is the thing in the update in june20, as for cards that were over lv10 each time you level it up,its stats increased by 30% instead of 10%, making it almost impossible to defeat those had a higher card level than you, thus making it pay to win. And the card banning system required you to have two high level decks instead of one. making it even harder for those who pay little. further more, the reward from the chests were heavily cut down,by about 70% I assume, which has not recovered yet, unlike the previous ones so right now it's just tecent and its greed btw about the color red stuff, i'm pretty sure that it is just some people thinking it's too 'bloody' for kids
One of the more well known chinese exclusive game is plants vs zombies 2 chinese edition. It is mostly like the global version but it has a lot more worlds, plants, zombies, gamemodes. Those things sound really cool but some of them are barely functional. The game is really glitchy, audio quality is ASS and monetization is garbage just like in this game. You can gamble on almost every single step. There is like a thousand different passes for all those gamemodes and Im not even sure how to collect rewards from some of those passes. There is like a million different currencies and most of them can be bought with real money. Balancing is garbage aswell. Here's one more interesting thing. In both versions there is plant called shadow-shroom. It poisons zombies that eat it. In the global version the poison is purple but in the chinese version it is yet again changed to green. Two cases where poison was changed to green. It is most likely not intentional but it's still interesting

This is Tencent's skill to make money. I met the 14-level King Tower in the 10 th hurry and unloaded the game directly.
Having higher HP on towers sounds fun! It means battles can go longer if both players are good and of course the amount of time should be increased
