my volume button was jammed... after i un-jammed it (with brute force, clicking hard back and forth) i tried rebooting and it worked! if that doesn't work and a button is jammed the case may have to be removed and buttons cleaned ! i actually saw a comment and tried the suggestion so am leaving my own comment in case it helps someone else

Give this a shot if nothing helps: It happened to me as well, nothing worked, I took it to a local repair shop they told me it's a common problem with xiaomi phones, one of the buttons is jammed on the side even if it doesen't seem like it.. they took the back cover off, cleaned the button and everything works fine now

For me these tips did not work, until I found in one video that the problem may be in the volume or power buttons. I took off the cover, of course I did not understand anything, but when I put it back I caught something and the phone came out of this loop. But in your case I would just maybe go to the nearest phone repair shop
Very useful video!! For me waiting and draining the battery was helpful. I had to wait a day for the problem to disappear ;) maybe it was a software glitch - so guys: restart, drain the battery, wait, try try try and wait. It may really be the key.

In case anyone is trapped, I tried forcefully pressing the volume buttons up and down. Then went for safe mode. since my updaes were fine, i powered it off instead of rebooting it. Then started again , it was solved. Never rebooting again.
I had the same problem (30.12.2024) The phone was stuck in reboot (recovery 5) . Try to remove the sim card/memory slot and turn off the phone. Turn on the phone again and it might be back to normal. This worked on my device.

Maybe this will help someone, i had the same issue. loop into the main menu. i could select different option but the power button didn't do anything. So i tried to press the power button for like a 5 minutes straight and somehow it worked. so try this if nothing else worked.
What if i clicked reboot and the correct button after that but: the redmi logo is showing like its restarting but thescreen keeps getting black every 8sec for 3 sec?

I wiped my data and then few seconds later xiomi hyperOS screen opened. and my phone all data fully deleted and it asked some language and place details and my phone restarted I got opened my phone successfuly and i already backuped my whatspp so then it was easy for me❤

@@Sukiiii-fY Actually my phone is okay now, I managed to escape safe mode. The problem was with volume, there was a bug and volume was always set to maximum on it's own. I turned off volume settings in some apps and downloaded volume lock app and now it's fine, luckily.
Mine stuck to Fastboot mode since yesterday night, man i tried all, but because my volume down button issue, i cannot select the options like safemode, or other i can only use my volume up and power buttom, so i can only select reboot but when done it still stuck to the Fastboot mode, damn its pissing me off.

How the hell do you think the phone can update when it doesn't even turn on?! This ordeal is caused by some circuit (probably connected to storage) shorting. Hence the phone cannot access its OS or other data and just reboots on a loop without ever turning on. Your phone is now a brick! :@

The fast boot mode is note working in poco X2

if this is a button problem, you need to go to a repair store to let it clean out the sthing that stuck in your button, and it may get back to normal
