Did you put nesting material in the box when you hung it or did the birds fill it themselves?

Hi Rebekka I put a layer of easibed, which is a dust free horse bedding, at the bottom of the nesting box as I don't think they would use any nesting material. Jane

The Aviary Garden Thank you. Do you think two 8 year old Bourke may still reproduce? I have a couple here and they try desperately to become parents, but until now, their efforts have not been fructuous. The eggs did not develop at all....

To be honest I do not know. Two of mine are 7 this year and I would like to try and breed from them again this year. Hopefully it will work out. Good luck with yours. Jane
