Great video and very thorough review! You got some really nice shots with the Viltrox. I think my favorite photo is the lightning photo but you got a lot of great shots.
Thanks for watching Denise much appreciated. Yes we had awesome storms this week here. Enjoy your week 👍🙏

Another great review Adrian with plenty of info and good to know about the price. Great set of photographs, nice capture of the lighting storm. Many thanks for sharing your work :)
Lovely work Adrian. Really enjoyed some of those images you were able to capture with the Viltrox. I'm presently evaluating a Viltrox 24mm f1.8 for Nikon Z. They certainly make a lovely robust product. Have a great week mate.
Thanks for watching Richard. Yes, the Viltrox lenses are pretty good value for the money. Certainly does the job I need them to do. Have a great weekend mate and take care 👍🙏
Great in-depth review of a quite superb lens at this pricepoint. Loved all those testshots, especially the lightning and the shadow of the seagull with a small fish in its beak, esepcially the tight crop of that looks awesome! Thanks for sharing mate!
Hey Peter, thanks so much mate, I know after testing this lens, I'd be happy to leave in my camera bag for the odd low light shot, shallow depth of field shot or video. Does the job well and at that price, it's pretty amazing. Have an awesome weekend and thanks again 🙏👍📸
Great video Adrian! Looks like a great lens for the price. Looks nice and sharp and very versatile! That lightning strike photo was amazing! You've got me anxious now for our storm season that's still a couple of months away. You definitely can't go wrong with this lens despite the couple of minor flaws it might have. Really enjoyed it mate. Have a great weekend and stay safe!
Thanks for watching Paul. I’ll be looking forward to seeing your videos come storm season. Finger’s crossed you get some banger shots. The lens does its job that’s the main thing and for half the price of the other 50mm Z lens, it’s a bargain. Have an awesome week mate, cheers 🍻 👍🙏
Hello my friend excellent review. Surprisingly I have seen mixed reviews for the canon nifty fifty. I have it and found that for the money it’s great for low light, portrait and night photography. That shot of the electrical storm and seagull were amazing by the way. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Adrian, quite funny: As I was starting your video there came an advertisement of an electric shaver. The guy held it in exact the same way into the camera as you the lens then in your very first scene of the video. It took me some seconds to realize, that it is not your video already, but an ad :) The shaver didn't look bad to be honest - but I guess your lens not less sharp :-) I guess the algorithm saw the parallels and also that you mentioned the word "sharp" in your video :) A fantastic video, Adrian. There are really some cheap lenses out there, that are worth to take a look at. Thank you for sharing this one! Have a great weekend, Christian
Thanks for watching Christian. This lens was great to use. I pretty much threw everything at it and the shots turned out well. Nice and sharp. I must take up doing ads for shavers next haha! Have a fantastic weekend my friend, cheers 🙏📸
Nice Review Adrian, I have heard similar comments from other reviewers. Short of the "pixel peepers" that love to criticize everything your honest review is well received and appreciated. For the typical budget minded consumer this is a great quality lens. Thanks again!!
Thanks for watching Leo. I think the best way to review a lens is to get out there and use it in different situations. I think the images and video I captured proves my points in what I was saying. Really appreciate your comment, Have a great weekend 👍🙏
Thank you so much for watching Andy. I agree, the third party lenses I've tested on my channel are just getting so much more better. It's a win win for photographers who want to save money, but still get good shots. Have an awesome weekend mate, cheers 📸🙏👍
How cool was that lightning? Amazing to be out there when it was all coming through and at a safe distance. Fabulous shots at all different locations, you really put the lens through its paces. Definitely worth considering.
Thanks for watching. A great low budget lens, I enjoyed using it. Yeah the lightning looked close in the video, but it was still a bit away from where I was standing, so all safe, no worries. I got in the car and drove on when it started coming closer. Enjoy your weekend 🙏📸
Yeah they make a nice lens John. It is definitely worth looking into. For half the price of a native lens and still get relatively the same results, it's a pretty good value for money. Thanks for watching mate 🙏
G’day Adrian going to Caboolture for a week at the end of the month and was wondering if you would give me a heads up on where to photograph sunrise at Beachmere. Thanks Ned
Hi Ned - make you ay to the Esplanade at Beachmere. Follow it all the way to the southern end (you'll see a dog park) park car there and walk through dog park, walking south for about 5-10 mins. Look to your left and you'll see trees out in the water or mud depending on tide.
What is your opinion comparing this lens to the Nikon 50mm f1.8G lens utilizing the FTZ adapter ? The seagull picture was amazing...perfect timing. Another nice review, thank you.
Thanks for watching Tony. I actually have the 50mm 1.8g and used it with the FTZII. The images were about the same, but the Viltrox was a bit better probably due to the native Z mount config. Enjoy your weekend.
That lens is a real player in the game. Im kinda wondering if they are sharing tech with the subcontractor that Nikon is now using in China? That is what I am speculating based on how good this lens performs. Thanks for the review! And how come I can never get good lightening conditions? You just go out at night and get an awesome photo…🤷🏻♂️📸

Great review Adrian. Generic lenses seem to be getting better and better. Love the B&W of the seagull and fish very Salgado.

I have noticed that Viltrox make some nice looking glass for Fujifilm, might be worth looking at, thanks for sharing Adrian.

You get so lucky with lightening mate! Great review, I have been looking at these lenses to fill a few gaps in my Sony range😉 Have a great week mate👍
Thanks for watching Scott. Yes, the Viltrox range is pretty good value for money. Built well and does the job. Enjoy your week mate, cheers 👍📸🙏

Viltrox are great, just waiting for the 1.4 fullframe and a 14-35 or 16-30 wide angel version, if they making it.
Many thanks for watching. Much appreciated 🙏
Very informative ! Time to save up some money .

hello nice video quick question
does viltrox focus better than ftz+50mm g?
@@josuejarquin6426 yes
@@adrianalfordphotography thanks for answer cuz i have focus problem with my z5 ftz+50mm g
Would this work on a canon eos 1500d
No it wouldn’t. They make this lens only for Sony and Nikon at the moment. Thanks for watching 🙏📸
