- Song is The Nocturnal House by Pretty Girls Make Graves off their 2006 album Élan Vital.
The player is a Sony CMT-EX1 manufactured in August 2000. I bought it used at a local thrift store. The sound quality is very good for such a small unit! The speakers came with the device as well.

Michka espère encore gagner le cœur de sa charmante femelle. Il trouve une accienne gondole au fond du lac de la forêt. Michka décide de le restaurer et invitesa belle à un tour romantique! Personne ne s'attendait à ce que cette historie fasse parfaitement correspondre le nouveau hobby de Masha : théâtre de marionnettes.

I had this as my bedroom music system for years - it was exceptionally neat. Kind of amazed to see these now go for quite a lot of money though! The only downside was that when dust got in the mechanism it was basically impossible to clean it out.
Cause dealers have taken over places like eBay and the internet to control prices on used items and keep them high. It's All about rigging the markets.

Physical media is so cool to see working. You don't get that with later cd portables or a Spotify playlist.
Bought it used one time and man it is my main cd player due to being able to see it spin the awesome album covers

There's a few of these out there, though its more common for there to be a translucent door that moves out of the way. This is probably a better idea too, as it makes cleaning the tray easier.

Discs were a full replacement for the generation of the late 90s 2000s and also Thanks Sony again for bringing us high-definition Disc

I started collecting vinyls recently. I really like how we get a physical form of albums and singles and mixtapes that we love. It also helps support the artists more than a streaming platform does!

I had a Sharp Vertical LP Player which plays boths sides (2 arms) with a casette player and radio . My sister still got it.
I had one of the very first CD players. It was a Sony and the front door work like a cassette deck. That was back in the early 80s.

This just brought me back to me first seeing these in the early 2000’s at Circuit City and I remember thinking how I couldn’t wait to grow up and buy one of these. Who would’ve thought in decades time CDs would basically become obsolete.

I miss those days back in the early and mid-2000s even the late '90s when I was a little kid having a CD play in your room with a TVs stand or a TV center in your room filled with CDs and you had a CD player with the speakers all the way around your room It was pretty nostalgic I wish people was to go back to CDs I miss them kind of

I love this CD player!
The one I have was my grandpas, bought another one for like 50 bucks for replacement parts.
At one point the disks wouldn't come up again, after opening it I found that the rubber belt for the motor was quite loose two cuts later and some solvent later it was as good as new.
Soon you will have to connect to the internet to subscribe to a streaming service to activate the CD player for playback.

I’m a 2002s kid and used to grow up watching my dad DJ. I freaking miss CD players and radios ( I know they still make them) but I used to listen to music with my Gummy earbuds plugged into the radio to listen to the radio stations in high school (2016-2017) before I got my first phone.
I’ve got one! It’s pretty cool to just display a CD on too, even when you’re not playing it.

It's insane how manufacturers of cd players can't make a player where you can see it spin. I'd buy a transport instantly.

Gen Z missed out on the great era of novelty tech during the late 90s and early 2000s. Sony especially we're making cool minidisc players, cd walkman designs, mini and micro hifi systems as well as the fantastic trinitron wega crt tvs. My generation the millenials especially the first five years of millenials we enjoyed the best tech, be had sony tape walkman, cd walkman and MD players to choose from. Cd and dvd both were in their prime and there was no streaming or social media. We were excited about cinema and physical formats.
If only it is compatible with various CD or DVD RW's!!!
