I love the original television series. I’m about your age, I remember it well, Mark Singer was really awesome. I’m 52, so the memories are alive lol. I love the original Battlestar Galactica the best, and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. I want a fighter from that series in 1/48 or 1/32 scale.
When those model kits come out, I will absolutely by purchasing them. TY for letting me know about them as I do not have a 3D printer. I've always wanted this fighter and the tanker.
I used to watch this series as a child of the 80s. It was one of Robert Englunds early roles in TV before Freddy fame. I grew up in Los Angeles and this prop ship used to sit in a storage/junk yard near Universal studios as did the APC from Buck Rogers series adjacent to the Hollywood Freeway. I wonder where those props are now.
Almost forgot about the squirt bottle method for placing the decals. :-) Came out great Boyd. Nicely done. Looking forward to your upcoming builds coming up in the next few months.
Thanks, I'm glad to finally have the ships. Crazy that as popular as the series was, they never made any toys or model kit's related to it. They would've sold like hot cakes.
I remember when the V mini series premiered, every kid at school would talk about it the next day. It was a cultural phenomenon that just hit at the right time, I never had the toys but what kid didn't want an action figure that you could rip off their face to reveal... Lizard People!
Unfortunately they never made any action figures or toys based on the series. Never could figure out why. As you say it was really popular at the time.
It turned out great Boyd! I'm so glad you found and built this ship. I'm going over to Cosmic to get on the list to buy it when it's available. There are so many sci-fi movies and tv shows that never got models from the plastic kit companies. Looking forward to your next vid, whatever it is!👍
The sites that sell the 3D files for the models often have a printing service available. You'll get the raw parts in resin ready to assemble and paint.

Great job Boyd can't wait to get one of those shuttles myself....V was an awesome sci Fi show 😊
Way nice.
I've never seen the show but I like the way this ship looks. Nice Build Boyd!!!! Look forward to the trooper and squad ship. I'll be watching
Looks great Boyd! Flawless seams!
That came out awesome Boyd! Loved the TV show....lizard dudes using us as TV dinners...damn them! 😂😁
😆
Great Job Boyd

I might get one of the kit's too just to have the in scale visitors figures they will come with.
Came out really nice. Keep up the good work

That came out fantastic, awesome job Boyd. This would be a nice addition my my Sci-Fi collection.
Thank you, check out Cosmic Models as they will be releasing these models with the crew figures and decals soon.
@@TrekWorks Thanks Brother, I'll do that.
Looks really great! Great job once again!
Love the work. Looks sharp.
Neat little project. Well done!
The build turned out great!! Thanks for sharing it with us Boyd :)
Thanks Kenny, I hope you get the time to get back to your bench soon.
@@TrekWorks thank you :)
Great project Boyd! I turned out really good! 👍
Really cool.
Looks great!! It really turned into something nice. Would like to Visit the mothership! :)
Love it!
Turned out great Boyd. Love the Green hornet picture in the background near the end of the video😊 👍
I want to build the new Black Beauty kit from AMT pretty soon. Waited a long time for that one to be done in a bigger scale and more accurate.
@@TrekWorks Look forwards to that build as I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan. I have the original 60s black beauty model car and Autoarts 1/18 version.👍😊
Must say that came out really well, live the glossy finish. There's a UK company making a 1/32 scale V Shuttle/fighter, due quite soon.
That's great, I'm glad the ships are finally getting some attention.
site to purchase??

Thanks Mike :)
So awesome! When I was a teenager my parents bought a white Pontiac J2000 Sunbird. I always thought that it looked like the V Fighter.
That turned out really nice! That Matte Wheel clear coat is awesome! Glad you recommended it several years ago, I've been using it ever since!
Did you ever have any problems with the Duplicolor Matte Wheel clear coat turning yellow?
Looks good! I think I would have left it glossy. I might have to pick up some of the resin kits.
Turned out great!
Great job, excellent model of a legendary TV series.
That really turned out excellent! I've always loved those ships. Such a cool design. It looks perfect. Another masterpiece!

@@TrekWorksI am too! And still you don't hear much about it like the other classic sci-fi shows.

Awesome, the cool thing is they will include the crew figures and the markings decals too.
Looks amazing as always 😊
Thanks :)

That's what comes to mind!
Is there anywhere sells these printed. Unpainted? I’m such a massive fan of V would love these.

Love it. Can I purchase a completed one from you? Will try and find your contact info
I soooo wanted all of them but I have no idea how to 3D print and the gentleman that created them does not sell the parts. Envious.
Where can we get the print files for this?

As I commented before, you eliminated the division that showed it was a modular design. Kinda ruins it.
