    EU trucks have more torque than US trucks. So more Newton meters or in American units more foot pounds

    EU = More hills. More HP/NM. Heavier cargo.
    US = More flat land. Less HP/NM. Lighter Cargo.
    I've seen this question being asked and answered for almost 10 years now.
    Not to mention all the wrong answers being given.

    • @SHOCKWAVE1.0

      Thank you for saying that!! WHY DOES NO ONE UNDERSTAND THAT. Like, EU trucks are way lighter than US trucks by a few thousand pounds. and have more foot torque that US trucks do. And WE DONT NEED A FLAT NOSE. WHY DO PEOPLE THINK WE STOPED. WE DONT NEED THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol

    • @DanielFrost79
      @DanielFrost79 10 месяцев назад +10

      @@SHOCKWAVE1.0 No problem. 👍.
      I mostly believe it has to do with ignorance and in many cases stupidity. Whereas the person wants it to be different than the answer he's given.
      Many of the questions being asked are exactly the same question formulated differently. And Quora is littered with these stupid and repetitive questions.
      Sadly it's mostly Americans that refuses to acknowledge the answers given and has been given over and over and over again.
      Edit: Cabover trucks also offer better maneuvrability because they are more compact - which is crucial for navigating the tight urban spaces and narrow country roads commonly found in Europe. You would benefit from a 'flatnose' but you don't need it.

    @starrelic275 9 месяцев назад +73

    When you realize these trucks are built for two completely different environments and aren’t designed to compete with each other.
    American trucking is very much about the “long haul”, driving from one coast of a country to another just to deliver a payload with many states the truck crosses being bigger than most European countries. Euro trucking is shorter and tighter without much “long drives” in comparison to American trucking. You want to see something interesting though, look at Aussie trucking, those boys do it all x10.
