When you hear a person saying “speak your truth,” Ignore that person. There is no “your truth” vs “my truth.” And Joe is fat, with pale skin… how is he feeling himself?
I live in NYC, and while I can’t generalize about all Latinos, I’ve noticed something in my interactions with some of them. There often seems to be a sense of discomfort or distrust toward Black people, even when those Black people are kind and friendly. This distrust can feel stronger than what I’ve experienced from the average white person. With white people, even if there’s no deep connection, there’s often a basic level of understanding in interactions. But with some Latinos, it’s different. Many may smile in your face, but you can sense a hidden resentment or tension. It feels like there’s an underlying condescension or anger toward Black people, and it’s sad to see how these attitudes seem ingrained. Black people are starting to notice this dynamic more. In the past, we naturally referred to Latinos as our cousins, but now we’re more cautious because of the racism we’ve experienced. Of course, not all Latinos are like this-there are plenty of cool and respectful individuals. But unfortunately, some will turn their back on you without hesitation, which makes it difficult to fully trust. It’s a complex and sensitive issue, and while it’s important to acknowledge these experiences, it’s also essential to approach the conversation with nuance and understanding.
Honestly, I first learned about race from my racist Hispanic friends. My Puerto Rican friend said don't call him a dirty ass Dominican. I guess it's a mentality within that culture. Because we embraced everybody in our culture and I don't understand why other people will approach what we've built with the type of mentality that they do and why we treat each other the way we do and treat them better than we treat one another while they s*** on us and we s*** on ourselves. We need to tighten up.
BIG RESPECT to CUBAN LINK. This mofo was ON FIRE and Fat Joe HATED him for it. Instead of Fat Joe coming back with another album, He should have put CUBAN LINK and the rest of Terror Squad out first, THEN drop J.O.S.E. album

You know they steal” which was ironic because these particular men were some thieving mofos! But shout to the dudes that stood they ground against their relatives.
I do think in a lot of cultures the elders were the ones that were racist and not understanding. Now sometimes some of that passes down to the next generation but it shouldn’t represent the entire group as a whole especially not anymore.

@pandachopnews on top of there being tendencies, in regards to the public things he'd say, this is solely my opinion. But being racist doesn't subject you to being a bad individual. Just means that you're misinformed. You can be racist and not be a racist. Racism is a behavior. However, to dwell further in depth into whether or not he's a bad or good individual, I'd have to have known him his whole life, and I don't know him more than what he puts on to be in front of cameras.
For the record Cuban is on video flat out saying “I’m Black Too”. It was during the bang bang boogie era. The interviewer asked him about being in a group with black dudes & he said that without hesitation. He didn’t front & wasn’t pandering for the camera. I always saluted him for saying that on camera. If you really listen to Cubans verses he lets you know he grew up in black culture. He always puts something in there to let you know he’s official about the black dna he has. If you listen to his verse on “Tell Me” he begins his flow in the cadence of “don’t look any further” by Dennis Edwards. A lot of people didn’t catch that. If you notice he keeps making a clear distinction between the Afro-Latinos (me, pun & seis) in the crew & Joe.
Well Cubans have African blood through the slave trade so he knows that but he also respects that black people may feel a way about Latinos in NY saying the N word even though that’s the culture

But at the same time in the US africans were not allowed to practice african rythm compared to africans deported in brazil and in other parts of central and south america. That's why cubans for instance have a very african rythmic music compared to blackamerican music. The one who really brought african rythm in his music is James Brown in the 1970's especially. Singers of the motown for instance were doing music that white people could relate 2.
@@lorenzbeaumacc1175black Americans don’t have to acknowledge something that blatant. Motown never marketed their artists to white Americans or their audience. @AmberSantana-is3dq that's not true! As artists, producers have to get out that music worldwide! It's an investment to the producers who can suffer financial loss! There is no gatekeeping by producers to keep people from investing in the business of rap! Quincy Jones was a producer, Prince was a producer, etc! Maybe, if the rap artists stop living what they are rapping and learn other areas of the music business, they would fare even better and maybe, live to old age! I am not antisemitic, and you may not be, either! Your comment sure was! Are you aware the entertainment business was looked down on by the mainstream? Artists, rather in the music or movie business were seen as lowlifes? Since the beginning, they were there investing and promoting!
Fat Joe been had a problem. I believe (if I can recall exactly) he was interviewing Katt and he asked what type of women he dated and Katt said sistahs. And Fat Joe looked shocked and said that he did not look like he dated sistahs. I was like what the hell does that mean, Katt is black! What is wrong with black men dating black women? So tired of the negative rhetoric being push about blacks in general. And I date Latinos and yes the lighter complexion Hispanics can be very racists even Dominicans who are darker than me. It’s so sad. Black men love Latinas but be careful. Some hide their true feelings about blacks. They will date the men but hate their northern and sisters. Look at Cardi B.
I need to check out that Fat Joe and Katy Williams interview. Never seen it. That’s crazy
Y'all are a part of the problem because you'll learn this kind of info and STILL date them. When it's y'all, you'll individualize the behavior. When it's a black woman dating out, we're all kinds of "bed wenches" and all the men we're interested in only want us as a f/tish. So...

What generation of Latinos are you taking? The old generation or new?
Honestly, I first learned about race from my racist Hispanic friends. My Puerto Rican friend said don't call him a dirty ass Dominican. I guess it's a mentality within that culture. Because we embraced everybody in our culture and I don't understand why other people will approach what we've built with the type of mentality that they do and why we treat each other the way we do and treat them better than we treat one another while they s*** on us and we s*** on ourselves. We need to tighten up.
BIG RESPECT to CUBAN LINK. This mofo was ON FIRE and Fat Joe HATED him for it. Instead of Fat Joe coming back with another album, He should have put CUBAN LINK and the rest of Terror Squad out first, THEN drop J.O.S.E. album

I'm so glad that Cuban link is not wearing a baseball cap backwards like a fifteen year old.
😂😂😂 come on why does that matter so much?
@pandachopnews you know what I'm talking about 😂😂😂
I’ve been around Latinos in BX, and BK and had dudes arguing with their fathers, uncles, and grandfathers because they were saying anti black ish including but not limited to “why you bring that coke colo here?

@@pandachopnewsI’m stating this because some people may think Cuban is fronting. I know he’s not. I also grew up in Old School NY…so I already know what time it is with latin’s and that word. @@pandachopnews what I would argue tho is that I feel like u have more cubans and puerto ricans (not dominicans) acknowledging their african blood than black americans. Some blackamericans do but not all of them. Blackamericans don't walk around talkin about their african rythm and culture heritage. He said it like his culture is the foundation of HipHop.
He has said he views himself as black too
Cuban Link is a real one. We had no problems with our Puerto Rican brothers. I lived around and worked with some cool PR dudes who had my back. It is disheartening to see some Puerto Ricans turn on us because we want to keep the history accurate. We are not taking anything away from what the Puerto Rican brothers did when they did it.
Do you really think all of them are doing that or a small group with Fat Joe leading the charge?
There is a small group that has this agenda of connecting themselves with the start of what became known as hip hop. One of the main people is Derrick Colon. He interviewed several PR B Boys from back in the day who told him on camera that it started with Black folks but he doesn’t want to hear the truth. He is obsessed as if to say that “y’all can’t have that distinction” no matter what the facts are. Joe butt crack was only 3 years old in 1973 he should sit down shut up and learn the true history. They are being very disrespectful.
Cuban link was so dope, I wish we could turn the clocks back and have him create the album we knew he could. He verse on M.O.B was 🔥
He’s a good dude 💯
All the shit this dude been talking about fat joe. As soon as joe in some trouble with FBAS you see how they get on code with each other and start protecting him in a sense. Makes me ask myself? R FBA people the most Invidious people on the planet?
Did you not watch the whole clip? He said he’s seen Joe say some racist stuff about black people.
8:47 no we not!!!
How Did WE Get Stuck Between A Puerto Rock and A Hard Place?
I'm older enough to remember Fat Joe came into the game as a Latin King leader. In those days there was Major beef between the Kings against Many black gangs around the East Coast. I'm not surprised. I've never forgotten
Joe was never a Latin king. He had beef with the Latin kings at one point. Watch this interview clip i did. Cano Almighty Talks Fat Joe Vs Latin Kings & Frankie Cutlass [Part 17]

@pandachopnews being in CT and growing up around P R an Dominicans. Around the time between 91-94 this was the talk. Now maybe at some point he had fallen out. However he was rocking the beads.
Didn't Lord Finesse help joe get on?
Not sure if it was Lord Finesse exactly but DITC so yes black people put him on
It was diamond d

Joe always hungout with Black folks. He loves Black people. He just doesn't like FBA. 💩 I don't even like FBA 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Yes he did! Also Andre the Giant from Patterson Projects in the BX . Sad to hear! The whole DITC thing. Just remember who was the DJ who took the two turntables in the Bronx and started the trend of people uniting and getting together forgetting about the ghetto misery for a moment. Hip Hop. DJ Kool Herc ! 1520 Sedgwick Avenue Bronx NY. Son of Jamaican immigrants! I say less ! Black folk started and created HipHop just like Rock and Roll!!
Forget fat joe bro make a difference yourself drop a song make a podcast make a hit you got talent brother but forget fat Joe already brother
It would be crazy if a white rapper was talking racist but fat Joe is like an uncle or a cousin
We waiting on the day Cuban gets busy with more Music or podcasts!
Cuba when you gonna start your own podcast and put your music out through your podcast, we tune in we love you, bro we behind you start doing your own thing, bro you’re talented. You’re funny you have charisma. Let’s go, brother.!
@@Eli.p79 I tell him all the time he should do his own podcast. He is very funny
Taino, African, and European..
Puerto Ricans
WTH? Tell Joe to do an ancestry test. Claiming your colonization opposed to your actual DNA is crazy. Joe has some homework to do.
So many ethnicities hate black people but mock everything we created 🙄DIS man was wit DAT shyt too and it's Ricans and Dominicans blacker then us PPL are crazy🤦🏾♀️🇭🇹💯
One love to Cuban and Panda 💯💯💯💯percent respect 🫡
🫡🫡🫡 appreciate you bro
My mother and grandmother calls me moreno…🇵🇷👨🏿🌾🇵🇷👨🏿🌾🇵🇷👨🏿🌾
Yeah but the engineer actually said Joe said moyo and not Moreno and that has another stigma
In the Spanish community Moreno and morena are terms of endearment…
But the engineer says Joe said “moyo” not Moreno so that’s a different meaning
Ok but if the black guy said its racist, who am i to believe?
My son Cuban could’ve railroaded him but he just spoke how he truly felt so I respect this whole shit
💯💯💯 he said those speeches were more like pep talks from a coach at half time BUT he still said he’s witnessed Joe tell racist stories so he just kept it real
People love to create division, and take what others say out of context.
What is Joe really saying then? To me one of the biggest issues was HOW he said it
@ I’m not saying it’s wrong, but let the approach be different instead of creating discord amongst others.
Is this guy going to spend the rest of his days talking about Fat Joe? His energy could be much better spent.
I always thought Cuban Link and Pun were way better than Joe Joe only started rapping first but he was outdone
He always had a ghostwriter his main thing was being a good hustler and business man.
@@pandachopnews Fat Joe should forever pay homage to Pun and his family that is what a grateful cheerful person does
@@joseromero9933 I think that’s all anyone really wanted.
