I go Boots of Focus, Breastplate of Valor, Void Stone, Bancroft's Talon, Winged Blade but late game I feel like I'm really lacking damage. it's not like I go all tank items but I want to be on par with other gods. It's not like I want to hit like an ADC which probably wouldn't even be possible but I want my non ult hits to work.

depends. smite's a hard game to play with high ping but i still get 100-120 on the closest servers to me. if you're dealing with 200-300, probably not worth imo

Prefered old book of dead new book doesn't really pack enough of a punch to buy, if buying just for the sheild comparing it directly to Bancroft's is just a better mage item. No cool down on Bancroft's much more reliable for a save and survivability.
