Just one remark is that you may want to close the gaps at the end of the repair to ensure no water will enter the car. Audi did seal this for a reason.
OK I have a very simply fix once you understand what the issue is. The rotating shaft has an o- ring behind to prevent ingress of water to the electrical portion. After 5 years or so it gets dry with dust and grit and binds the shaft. Solution is simply, get a cotton bud and apply some brake fluid to the shaft then operate it in and out to lubricate the O-ring. Problem solved. First check that the central locking does work on the door (test)
Hi, my car also it is not working when i checked like you explained..the actuator is integrated with with rubber cover, whole flaps come out in one piece...neither is connected to any other sensor...any idea what to do?
My audi a3 sedan doesn't open this flap even if I pull the red string, is the any tips for that? I went to the "stealership" and the charge a ridiculous price for this replacement
Mine also did not want to open with the red string, but lucky for me the lock was in the open position, so I just had to open the mechanism and lubricate the moving parts and everything including the red string was working again
