Always super happy to hear (see) these interviews from distinguished Marxist scholars. This is what we need, more scholarship of the highest level. Marx is more needed it seems ever.

Critique of philistinism applies much more to other intellectuals, especially those of haute- and rentier-bourgeois origin than to regular people and workers.

I think what is missing in this panel is a discussion of the double function of the working class in a commodity producing society.

I have heard a rumor that Marx never actually experienced the life of a worker. I was told that he never worked. Is that true?

Mark never understood land and the economic rent absorbed into the land. And how it is being apprropriated. Henry George did, who Marx made derogatory comments about after reading his book, _Progress and Poverty._
