it has to do more with the tone the maker of the custom uses. rocksmith either gets or makes the tones for the songs they license. a good example is the sound of madness. i think the song requires a a pedal for that riff we all love. the devs said they made it sound like the original without the pedal so it didnt ruin the song for people. i dont have the source video for it, but remember watching at release.
