Beethoven wasn't actually conducting the piece. A conductor was standing behind him keeping time for the orchestra. When he was turned around by the Soprano, he ended up weeping.
BTW being stone deaf he was USELESS as a conductor. the orchestra did what we often do when the conductor is incompetent ( which happens more often than you might think we follow the LEADER ( ie the first violinist or, as some here pointed out and i had forgotten, they got someone else to conduct while L van B gesticulated futilely to the air
he could hear it where it mattered for any capable composer IN HIS MIND. so you make a fuss over an issue that is no issue BTW it is actually harder to compose when YOU ARE BLIND for you have to dictate EACH note to an amanuensis while holding the LOT in memory Delius was in this boat

Yup
No, the alto soloist turned him around.
Idk what you mean here, but he wrote the piece😊
Musicians now: why I don’t have absolute ear? Life’s so hard
Beethoven being deaf: **creates a symbol for classical music
The symphony is not called the ode to joy ,
Ode to joy is a motif in the 4th movement
Its the 9th symphony
touch grass
@@The_Hughesits the 4th movement in the 9th symphony
@@wavyeentouch your brain
@@wavyeen If you have a little bit common knowledge in classical music you should know that. That isn't even a fact in musicians.
he cut off the legs on the piano to feel the vibrations pretty smart

200th Anniversary of "Ode to joy"
He is so cute here❤
I mean its an actor
I love Beethoven and Ode to Joy
HAPPY 200th BIRTHDAY
The symphony will turn 200 in 2024 ❤️🎼🎶
Fun fact: Every New Year`s Eve, Japan`s NHK TV airs a live performance of the 9th Symphony
I'm playing ode to joy in piano ❤
he was truly a master piece man
Can you imagine that he wrote a symphony which is runs for one hour and he was completely deaf???
Well, it was after he wrote it that he went deaf I think.
@@Icyflames1 no, he wrote almost completely deaf
he was completely deaf when he's 45 I remember
Just incredible

Yes I actually did know that 🙃
Almost sounds like ufea champions league theme🤣🤣🤣
He would’ve cried if he heard his own song
It sounds like sound of the trumpets
Great
Completely deaf. Maybe. He could certainly feel the vibrations. As we continue to feel almost 200 years after he composed it. Ode to joy rocks!
Well…shit
Sadly... this is true
I mean… The accurate information is not so hard to find. So why this?
What is the lyrics to ode to joy???
So none of this is true but whatever
The part where it said he's completely deaf is true but he didn't conduct it
The song's name is ode to joy
That's the motif of the 4th movement. The name of th3 song is the 9th Symphony in D minor.
Do know if Beethoven try to learn
sign language?
Nah man... i didnt wanna waste time learning those signs. Id rather have my pen and sheet than write down whatever i wanted to say
Beethoven was never completely deaf. He could distinguish certain low tones and loud, piercing sounds.
