Haldi Ki Rasam is predominantly a Hindu wedding ritual....
To commence the Haldi ceremony, all the married women of the house gather around the bride and the groom, applying turmeric paste or Ubtan on their faces, hands and feet. The Haldi ceremony also signifies that the couple cannot leave their homes alone until their marriage. They are also not allowed to see each other till their union at the wedding Mandap.
