- Last week Mason Ho scored some beautiful waves behind his house on the North Shore of Oahu. The crowds are thickening and the winter swells are starting to show.
Mason is riding a 5’4 ...Lost Rad Ripper model. A surfboard not exactly made for this kind of surf but still works really fun in anything.

I don't think you should be surfing out there.. you're putting yourself and a lot of others in danger surfing a fast powerful pitching wave. There's a bunch of beginner spots on the north shore you should rather be surfing.

That board looks like the PERFECT choice for those conditions, particularly on the roll-in takeoffs, and softer shoulders, pre-reform. The extra volume and tail width, allow for extra paddling power, early-, and positive- entries.
