I can understand why it was rush since Liam never really had experience at writing endings. I’m pretty sure this is his first and only show to actually end properly
Just finished listening to Black Dogs honestly hands down really good and a unexpected ending that tied in quiet a lot of the plot. I don't think it has to do with his inexperience, i can't see him doing such a basic mistake as not developing characters, rather it almost feels like he just didn't enjoy where the story was going and was trying to get it out the way, he could have easily made it 2 seasons 8 and 8 and dedicated at least 8 of those eps to just character building and world building.
Black dogs is the only thing Liam finished and MAYBE yellow halogen, but yea Liam doesn’t have a good track record of finishing stuff. Design went on for a long time but it never got finished due to it being too complicated to write but Liam has said it would’ve been a happy ending, same with Puppetgame. Liam said that something with a lot of dedication and passion into a project deserves a happy ending.
@wren8365 I agree, Cyn in the episode plays her great role of being an antagonist but she was going easy which makes the fight lose its climax point. Being an antagonist pls don't make yourself likeable and hate able simultaneously 😢😢
To me it is by far the most flawed episode, even more than 5. While still being awesome. Just the animation and the work by Aj Dispirito in here carries it for me
i feel like the reason that J sided with Cyn in the end is because she knew what Cyn was capable of, and is actively so scared of losing that she would rather side with Cyn than try and rebel, die, get revived, try again, die, get revived, etc this is more clear when you think about the line she says to V "You know there's no escape, even in death!" she's saying that even if they die, Cyn will just bring them back and might even wipe their memories like they did to N
Episode 8 was AMAZING. but it was NOT finale worthy. it feels like more of a season ending than a show ending. thats just me tho. like I feel like if there WAS a season 2 then this would have been a PERFECT season finale but now a SHOW finale. yes it was great in all its right but it just does not seem like show finale worth. now of course I have NOTHING wrong with it, it just does not seem like show finale material. (Edit: if you disagree please let me know in the replies)
I agree with your opinion and yeah this felt like a season finale then series finale because they left us on so many questions so we don’t know if glitch or Liam will change there mind about a season 2 of murder drones.
2:24 J was angry because N stole "tessa's" spaceship which was how she was planning to escape,if u focus on the drawing she's holding it says: "I O U 1 space ship :( -N" (i owe you one spaceship)
Well since i wont be able to watch the premiere ig i will leave my thoughts on this now. Absolute end will definitely be the most controversial episode in the series. Personally im starting to have some mixed feelings about this episode after vanity's video Things that i liked: - The music (as always peak) - The animation quality. The fight scenes were very well made - Cyn being a great villain. I like that she acts so silly and cute but also at the same time does some messed up things - The horror aspect of it (especially the hallway scene) - N having a PTSD - V's development in this episode - The comedy. The jokes were actually funny and didnt ruin the tension at all - Cyn's downfall - May sound weird but i feel like the NUzi moments werent really forced in this episode - Teacher cameo - Braidens corpse mentioned🗣🔥 Things i have mixed/neutral opinions on: - J's development. I mean i like the path that Liam deceided to take with her character but lets just say that it was poorly executed. I wish we got a flashback where J has a breakdown after Tessa's death but ultimately deceides to team up with Cyn knowing that she has no chance at winning against her. J should have also interacted more with the final fight scene because she literally didnt even do anything here, she just gets kicked down to the pit and then disapears. At this point they should have just killed her off instead of pleasing the fans with the scene in the credits where she is alive. Wtf even happened to her after cyn's death💀? What we got wasnt bad but it definitely could have been better - The ending is kinda meh. It isnt bad but its just kinda too basic for me. We should have had some more death in this episode imo Thing i didint like/wish we could have seen: - The runtime. This episode was extremely fast paced, after you watch it for the first time it almost feels like you took 27 shots of cocaine. - Why didnt we get a doorman family reunion. I mean serioussly i really wanted to see Khan and Nori having a longer conversation with each other. - What was the point of bringing back Khan,Lizzy and Thad to the plot if they didnt even do anyting. They had literally no development. - Nori also doesnt really do much. Yeah she had that small conversation between Uzi but am i the only one who isnt satysfied with this. I wish Nori would explain to Uzi why she left her alone with Khan. Btw its still hasnt been confirmed who actually killed her. And yeah i think thats about it (probably forgetting about some things i wanted to point out but whatever). This episode was a rushed cinema. Nonetheless the finale definitely needed some more 5-10 minutes runtime. I know glitch is a small company so they definitely running out budget but serioussly i wouldnt mind waiting another 5 months for this episode to have been 10 minutes longer.
I think the best way that I can describe this episode is that I can only think of it’s flaws when I’m not watching it. Whenever I watch it, it’s nothing but pure entertainment.
Very well and mature way in providing your reaction to the 8th episode. Your negative part of the reaction was very understandable, and that is a hard, clear truth. Indeed, the episode could have more stories that needed to be shown for it to be longer, but they still delivered the ending perfectly. Nevertheless, Yagsterr, you observed and showed your opinion with strong and respectable information with hilarious humor.
I think this really was originally just supposed to be the Season 1 finale. From the way the episode ended, it would set up J potentially coming back, A new Mystery possibly related to Doll judging by the silhouette, an Eldritch entity possibly being on the loose in the cryobay, and dealing with the fallout of Cyn and Uzi sharing a body. But then during development as they got closer to completing Episodes 7 and 8, Liam decided to make it the series finale instead because he was started to get the effects of burnout and didn't want to continue with it starting to set in. Gooseworx confirmed on her Tumblr that Liam wants to do a Season 2, but for now is too burned out to continue and wants a break.
I mean, even if he planned to, we'd have to wait either way, since Liam would have to take time preparing the story for S2 and all that. We know it took them a year to have everything fully planned out (for the most part) for S1, and that was for rewrites. At best, it would most likely take as long or even longer for S2 to arrive, so even if Glitch/Liam confirmed it was happening, I'd still be prepared for a long wait.
I think it’s like a Schrödinger’s Cat situation. It was both a fantastic final and was also dropping the ball in a lot of areas. To go through a “couple” (hehe puns). Uzi. I don’t think any wrong decisions were made here. She got with N which kinda already happened but there’s not necessarily a problem with it being reinforced. She still has inner demons which is realistic, because of course all your problems aren’t fixed when you murder a psychopath and obtain an official bf. She got the better of Cyn by learning her dirty tricks instead of stooping to her level. Like if she pulled a ep 4 and went crazy. Like, that’s not satisfying. It would be solver violence vs solver violence. It would be against one of the core themes of the show, which is the cycle of violence. But Uzi learned Cyn’s ways and took her down Uzi style. N’s ending was also pretty good. He got with Uzi, which again, already kind of was the case, but here it’s nice as we know he wanted a deep relationship with someone for a while. So it’s nice he realized he got what he wanted. Also it’s nice that he didn’t pull a Steven universe here and tried to redeem Cyn. Like, he as a person who gives respect and love to everyone on instinct with the “inclusive instinct” line in ep 4 but now knows some people like Cyn are not deserving of it while also seeing people like V and Khan who have made mistakes and are questionable sometimes, are not irredeemable and actually NEED that love and support to be better is a valiant well done arc. But now the problems. J, uhhhh. Like, sure. I think there was potential with her and her desperate need to keep her agency and free will by working with Cyn. But, like, I don’t think we got nearly enough animosity between Cyn and J for that. Like you think J would be *terrified* of failing like Hunter from TOH which honestly would seem like a decent catalyst for depth and for her to rebel against Cyn and join N and Uzi to get back at the one who flipping skinned someone she loved. And plus you don’t have to have J love N to work with him. It can be like an enemy of my enemy is my friend type thing. Plus having J work with N while still hating his guts to the end would be a very interesting dynamic. Like have her maybe save N’s life paralleling her trying to murder him at the start but also having the only motivation be that he’s the glue that holds the group together. So if he dies, it would be bad business. The order for this arc to properly happen, it would need to start sooner. So ep 8. It’s good and bad yet still amazing.
Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in Let me in
Reminder that something doesn't need to be critically good for you to like it, and that you don't have to like everything that is generally accepted as better. Absolute End may not have been the best episode, but don't feel guilty for enjoying it. Do what you want forever
It's a good finale in my opinion, but it really left with some cliffhangers. Specifically in the credits. 1. J is fixing the ship to go God knows where 2. Doll's corpse could still be intact 3. That Eldritch thing is still in the Laboratory (in episode 2) Also you should go listen to this song called "Callback Ping" it goes hard 🔥🔥🔥
Pretty much I agree with most of the things you said. Im still pretty conflicted on whether or not this episode is still in my top 3. I will definitely have to rewatch your review and vanity's to really determine my feelings about this episode. Gotta say thank you guys for making these awesome well prestented reviews. You are definitely the reason why I deceided to rejoin and stay in the MD fandom. One of the best content creators out there Thank you guys Thank you Glitch Thank you Liam And thank you Murder Drones. Definitely one of my favorite series.
@@Yagsterr no problem. I like your passion about MD and that your trying to comunicate with your viewers as much as possible. Some bigger creators on youtube should be seriossly taking examples from you.
About the J rant. J being a 1 note villain as a mostly incapable henchman to Cyn was definitely valid criticism, but I think her working with Cyn, despite using Tessa’s body as a skin suit, did have an reason behind it that was in character for her. In fact, it was said in the episode as to why. When she was talking to V and offering her to switch teams, she says, “the winning team.” This highlights that J believes Cyn is completely unstoppable and anyone or anything that stands in her way is wasting their life on a pointless fight; J would rather save herself and work alongside the presumably unstoppable Cyn than fight and possibly die while doing so. Under that mask of being “the boss” is a scared and selfish disassembly drone valuing herself above all.
I gotta admit Yagsterr, this video was definitely worth the wait. Sure, the finale has some flaws and all, like for example, J being done dirty and the pacing of the episode, but I still loved the ending of the series, I thought it was amazing. For those who disliked the finale and thought it could’ve been better, you can complain all you want, but still you can’t deny that the team at Glitch Productions had been working on this episode for a WHOLE year and the animation was an improvement since episode 1 of the series. If I were to give the finale more running time, it’ll be an extra 30 minutes and 34 seconds (50 minutes and 34 seconds) total. That way, the finale episode would have more time to develop all of its characters coming together for the final battle and spending more time on everyone we’ve knew had come and grow. Sure, it would’ve taken longer to complete the episode for a little longer, but it still works best that way, at least for me. So overall, I still enjoyed Absolute End a lot and Murder Drones will hold a special place in my heart since I first started watching in the summer of 2024, next to The Amazing Digital Circus, another Glitch animated show. But yeah, that’s all I need to say, sorry this comment took so long.😅
My problems with this 17:57 yea I’m going to start a full conversation wile getting ripped apart by a demon or HIDING from said demon 21:46 because cyn is the last bit of Tessa she has left so she hangs on to her
Episode 8 was an amazing finale, I left the video feeling very satisfied. As I've said before, the only real issue is the pacing, but it's understandable since they were only given about 20 minutes and had to make the most of it. Beautiful episode, loved every second of it.
I agree with most parts of this review. I kinda disagree with the vitriol you have for episode 5, because I always interpreted episode 5 as being unreliable, and it kinda establishes itself as that due to it being a manipulated memory dive, so getting super mad about it is pointless. Also J siding with Cyn DOES make sense, is to escape a fate worse than death. Think about it, she can be cloned over and over again and tortured. Think about it, if an Eldritch god killed your best friend, you can’t fight back against that thing, your only option is to do its bidding and pray that it spares your life. Also J DIDNT know about Tessa’s fate the whole time, she literally said “it tricked me too”, which you played 3 times, which means she thought Tessa was alive up until the planet started going haywire. Most of the problems with this episode can be solved with 5-10 minutes of screen time. With an extra 10 minutes we could have had: Unpossessed Cyn scene J having a mental breakdown over Tessa Proper Khan/Nori reunion N freaking out and thinking Uzi is dead. Also with season 2 not happening, I may just be coping, but with the amount of stuff teased and the amount of unanswered questions, and the fact that Liam said “There is always more stories to tell”, makes me feel like we will get a comic at the very least, possibly even like 1 or 2 short mini episodes to answer some lore questions and to add world-building. Best case scenario is a season 2 does happen after like 5 years.
Yeah, I agree on J. She may be still in the wrong, but she had her reasons. Although more stuff definitely could've absolutely certified that for the audience, the little bit we got (like with her dialogue) does well enough for me to get that point. Also, while J may be smart and have at least some good morals, she's a big follower of corporate mentalities and ideals (I mean, look at how much corporate jargin she spits out), and cowardice and siding with those who will spare you the longest are kinda among those mindsets, and for me makes J's decision more understandable. I think the one thing that would've ruined J for me is if she was blasted to scrap rather than down fixing the pod, cause not only does that allow fans to have fun with the series post finale, but if Liam changes his mind and returns for a S2, then J could quite possibly get that redemption arc she deserves.
Either way you cut it with J, her unceremonious exit from the show is undeniably bad writing. At least it does give us potential wiggle room for her later down the road though, which is something I suppose.
Can’t wait for my analysis of J to come out so I can finally get my full thoughts on her out there. Especially considering your thoughts on it. ANYWAYS lemme leave my obligatory comment on how V is peak and is very cool and was the best part of the episode
For a finale it's great although feels more like a season finale than a series finale. Do like how it was short felt short and kinda sweet well sweet in that the fandom didn't have to feel scared or concerned for like 20 minutes. That and with it being action packed it being short makes sense
Meh, episode 8 was fine I guess. But for a Murder Drones episode, let alone A FINALE?! They failed on so many characters, J, Khan, Nori, N, what even was the point of bring Lizzy and Thad back? V's hallway scene is great, but the problem is its 3 episodes too late, and her return actively makes episode 6 and this episode worse by ruining the stakes. Uzi and Cyn are peak this episode. 7.5/10 They fumbled, Should have been better, but it could have been worse.
Sorry, I dunno why I made this lol I just thought it was funny *N and Uzi having a NOT A SLEEPOVER* *3 am* Absolute Solver: “🎵WILL YOU SET ME FREEE~~~🎵”
I can understand not liking Episode 5 for being an unreliable narrator version of real events, but I don't think episode 8 retconned anything. Episode 5 still happened. Memories are weird and unreliable and ESPECIALLY how people process them, Uzi was trying to figure out clues about what happened by entering a dream of N's basically, and personally I think they demonstrated "this is not actual events" very clearly with showing everyone's corpses in the basement. As someone with a lot of messed up traumatic experiences, I really REALLY appreciate how episode 5 handled things. I really have to reiterate: memories are unreliable. They are BASED on true events, but can never reflect them as accurately as a recording. The way they handled it fit in with the horror comedy tone and still felt extremely respectful of trauma. I love episode 5, and it really happened in the sense that Uzi hacked N and V and then saw a dream-version of events. That doesn't mean it's what really happened _to_ N and V.
21:25 Okay what the hell. Cyn's entire thing is ruling with fear. Only J and V knew who they were working with her. V was doing her job because she was TERRIFIED of Cyn going after her and N. J LITERALLY goes on to say after that, "You know there's no escape even in death" and "it better to be on the winning team..." J knows there's no escape if you betray Cyn. Run away? She'll find you. Fight her? You will never win. Literally die? Cyn can just bring you back. J is being calculative here. She's trying to survive safely for as long as possible. That means staying on the side with the sentient balckhole who killed your best friend and is wearing said best friend as a skinsuit.
1:43 at the end of ep 7, when J got hit by the bus, she dropped her keys(that Cyn gave her) down the hole. Uzi sees this and does the whole “die mad” thing, and if you look closely, you can see that she didn’t just launch N out the cathedral with her solver powers; she saw the keys falling and put them against N’s chest and launched him using it.
Cyn is one of the best villains ever made lol, she’s this perfect blend of childlike joy mixed with a sick twisted psychopath, all while maintaining a unique character
Ep 8 was unsatisfying from a storytelling perspective, yet entertaining in all the others (humor, action, music, animation,...). Like many people say, great episode, awful finale. I'm gonna drop my long ass comment about Khan here, for the storytelling flaws I mentioned. The fact that Khan had a PERFECT setup for a textbook example of a character arc, only for ep 8 to not finish it, infuriates me. Let's take a look at Khans journey in the series: - ep 1: after loosing Nori, Khan goes extra hard on making doors and keeping workers safe, but neglects Uzi in the process. After Uzi disobeys him and gets murder drones through 2/3 doors, Khan gets scared and leaves Uzi, because A) he already saw Nori die at the hands of murder drone and B) he doesn't believe Uzi's gun works. Also, he thought he'll save other workers in the bunker by closing the door. It's still sh*tty of him leaving his daughter to die tho. His character is at his lowest here. Let's build from that. - ep 2: Khan starts realising he's a bad father in the school meeting. At the end of the episode, he comforts Uzi after bad experience. - ep 3: Khan starts to get more invested in Uzi and being a father to her in pretty embarrasing way by "helping" Uzi with prom. When Doll attacks and workers flee, Khan STAYS there, even going in to help (but is pushed out of the room). We have some small character growth. - ep 4: Khan helps Uzi finding answers and doesn't stop her going on the quest to find more about Nori. - ep 5: Khan continues to be there for Uzi in small moments and being more of a embarrassing dad. - ep 7: Khan makes a HUGE progress on his character by building Uzi's railgun, the thing he didn't believe would work in ep 1. He also takes action and goes to help Uzi. The set up is PERFECT. - ep 8: ... Khan does nothing exept closing a door. Idea for fixing ep 8 Khan: Uzi gets attacked by J, pinned to the wall, hands sawed off, she can't use the solver to get away. J is about to kill her. "Get your hands off my daughter" Khan yells as he shoots J with the railgun (her core survives and crawls away). Khan goes to check if Uzi's okay. Uzi hugs Khan, he hugs her back. Khan apologises for what he did and how bad father he was. Uzi forgives him and says that she wasn't the best daughter either and that maybe they should start over. N shows up in the background. "I need to go" says Uzi and turns to leave. Khan hands her the railgun "Go ahead Uzi, save the world, I belive in you." Uzi smiles and flies off with N to fight Cyn. It's a little cliche, but I don't care, at least it would be a satysfying end for his journey.
Also I just thought of something, in episode 8, even if we DON'T get an interaction like what you said, something simple that they could have done with the "Khan closes a door" bit, is that instead of just closing the door, he uses the rail gun. Even THAT would have done this character arc a TIIIIIIIIINY but of justice.
Yknow what makes yag such a good youtuber? He doesnt HATE the episode. Hes calm. Doesnt yell at us... and responds to our comments (mostly) and his analasys videos arent biased. Yknow. Hes good.
The thing about cyn was that she could've killed N and Uzi if she wanted but was playing around, she even expressed this in the final fight with how much fun she was having
Here we go again, time to spread my virus MY HONEST OPINION Murder Drones, the series was getting really serious and dark by the penultimate episode, plus it reminded me of Shingeki no Kyojin since the initial story turned out to be a lie. Also, they didn’t abandon the humor but they toned it down now and it was great, however, the last episode feels like everyone is back in episode 1, ESPECIALLY the main character Uzi. Action-wise, there’s everything we wanted to see, plus, I always like it when they find a creative way to take down an OP villain (I knew the weakness to sunlight would be used at some point). It's about the LORE that I hate this last episode, the series was always characterized by giving us part of the lore in each episode THAT was what I love (or loved) so much about the series, however, when they killed Doll in the penultimate episode, I started to worry that they were speeding up to meet the 8 announced episodes, then it was revealed that the last one lasted only 20 MINUTES I started to get scared, and when the episode finally arrived... I was left with a void... doubts were left in the air, stories that could have been better told. -Who or what is the Absolute Solver? Is it just a power controlled by Cyn or is it an entity of its own? -How did the Solver and its Drones expand throughout the universe? -What did the humans do on Cooper-9? -Who or what killed Nori?! -Doll is also alive inside Uzi?! -We see J repairing the ship in the credits, where will he go? -What happened to the other 2 spaceships? Why did he come to the planet with three just to destroy them on impact? -What happened to the other Killer Drones? It's impossible that only N, V and J are the only "Effective" ones, there has to be AT LEAST ONE on some planet or something. And let's not even talk about several details that throughout the show made me believe that the end of the series was Interstellar style, that is, chaotic but without loose ends. In Murder Drones, no, many details were left in the air and I will ALWAYS defend the idea that Digital Circus took the attention away from Murder Drones and Glitch privately asked Liam Vickers to cut the story to finish it as quickly as possible to dedicate himself to something else. -What about the company? Was J tricked or was she pretending with the others and never really existed? -The Solver is not hungry, is she trapped in Uzi? -WHY DID THEY MAKE SUCH AN INTERESTING CHARACTER LIKE DOLL TO KILL HER?! -Why didn't they expand on the information about the Solver? Even Bill Cipher, without needing to tell his origin, was better explained. -How did the Sover get out of the mansion and destroy the earth? -Why are the laboratories above corporate but a mine below? -WHAT IS A CHURCH DOING THERE?! (Literally in a text they say that it was already there, which made me strongly think that there would be time travel at the end) -WHAT THE HELL IS THE CURE PLOT FOR?! IT WAS USELESS! Anyway... I thought Murder Drones was a series like Gravity Falls or Evangelion or even FNAF where every detail at the end would have an explanation but it wasn't like that. Even so, we had a happy but VERY open ending, whatever they say, THEY HAVE TO CONTINUE WITH THIS UNIVERSE... at least the fans already have their own projects underway, I may be part of one. I love well told stories, and Sy-fy and horror are my all-time favorites, that’s why I always prefer this show over TADC, humor and action were a secondary priority for me, I always came back for the story but they rushed everything and thought that with one epic final fight the fandom would magically forget all the details and lore they’d been feeding us for 3 YEARS, please this is not just any Netflix show, this was a story made over 3 YEARS, how can they make everything be resolved at the end with one fight? You watch the entire series and you feel like it’s a Netflix show, but it’s when you realize the true time lapse between one episode and another that you realize it was a waste of time that they ended up going for a standard story structure but with a SUPREMELY INTERESTING backstory. I love the show and it will always have a special place in my heart, my favorite indie animated series has finished its journey, thank you Glitch, Liam, the fandom. I study multimedia production/graphic design just to make my own stories whether it be a comic, a video game, a series, an animation, or my highest expectation... a movie. I LOVE YOU ALL. This episode for ME was: -In action: PEAK, we got what we wanted Uzi Vs. Cyn, and the others doing their part too! Nobody just stood there watching, EVERYONE did something. And I always love a creative way to kill an OP villain (I completely forgot Cyn was weak to sunlight too), chaotic and awesome. -In characters: MID, but I’m not gonna complain about that because it’s the final episode so it was all about wrapping everything up, although for a moment V opened up to N, then they ignored that, I thought Uzi would be a bit more serious but in the end he didn’t change much, kinda disappointed, let’s not even talk about J. The music/atmosphere: I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE SOUNDTRACK TO BE RELEASED! -In LORE: DISAPPOINTED! HOW ARE THEY GOING TO LEAVE THE PLOT HOLES UNSOLVED?! UZI ABSORBS CYN AND A DOLL?! (When Uzi collapses after eating Cyn, we get a momentary glimpse of him having the EXACT Doll Vision from ep7, don’t worry guys, Russian Mommy is alive), I thought they were going to explain more about Solver, or Cyn at least, but no… Cyn is just the Villain they have to defeat and nothing more, what a waste. Ugh, I REALLY think the show was going to be more serious, that way it will basically trick viewers who watched the first few episodes into thinking this was going to be a relatively normal show. I’m disappointed because ep7 made me think ep8 was going to be just as dark and serious, but Liam and Glitch have other plans. In the end it was more like Gravity Falls, where it’s funny at first and then it started getting darker and darker, but only that… moments, because in the end the story seems TOO RUSHED. But Murder Drones isn’t like that… or at least, that’s what I thought before, there are so many plot holes that are unresolved, or unexplained or at least they need to be explained more, like the Solver, the Earth massacre, who killed Nori, etc. DAMN IT GLITCH, WHY COULDN’T THE SERIES HAVE 10 EPISODES?! IT’S OBVIOUS THAT YOU JUST WANT TO END ALREADY TO MOVE ON TO SOMETHING ELSE. But hey, at least we have the happy ending that we all want And I think they can do more things, like prequel/side story/sequel mini episodes to balance everything out and at least the story can be complete or at least better told. THANKS TO ALL GLITCH, LIAM AND THE FANDOM, I LOVE YOU ALL. NOW, LET’S GET CRAZY! More Thoughts about Ep8 The main story ended up pretty good, in fact, the more time passes the better my perspective of the episode is, but it's like if a building burned down and you say: "Well, at least the 1st floor and the foundation are okay", but the rest of the place is a mess, that's having "tunnel vision", focusing on just one point and forgetting the rest. Let me ask you a question. Didn't you feel ANYTHING when after two chapters that revolved around finding a cure and Uzi NOT USING HIS POWERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, and that maybe N could lose her forever by being possessed, in the end everything was resolved in "Don't be afraid of her" and that's it? Didn't you feel that it was a waste of time and pure unnecessary drama? Gosh, why didn't they say that to Doll for example? The poor girl DIED looking for that cure. I thought Nori would be really worried about Uzi when she found out the cure was destroyed, or that Uzi would now use all his cognitive potential, his friends, and his allies to fight the Solver without his powers, that's what I thought would happen when Uzi appeared in the trailer with his new weapon. Or that maybe they'll show a lot more internal fighting between Uzi and Cyn, that way it wouldn't feel like he's getting off so easy, not to mention that scene where Uzi almost infects Cyn, at what point did he gain so much control as to fight the PLANET DESTROYER internally? IN THE PREVIOUS EPISODE IT POSSESSED YOU WHEN IT HAS THE LEAST CHANCE! Also, I feel like it was an INSULT that the characters weren't affected mentally and psychologically after everything that happened? The closest was when N sees Cyn on the platform and when he's looking for them in the hallway, and V the same, only in the hallway scene. For having come close to death on more than one occasion in just one episode, I think they're doing pretty well.
I know my comment make look like I hate the episode but i'm think the episode was an 8/10, BUT, when I remember is a SERIES FINALE i give it a 6/10, it was just about action but zero lore. All that Drama, horror and lore that I love about the series? GONE, I was just 15 minutes of fights and the LORE was forgotten. Why, WHY?! A little piece of the Lore could pleased me and the rest of the fans that TOOK THE SHOW SERIOUSLY. I know most of the fans love the show, but remember that EVERY fandom has two sides, the casual and the serious, and i'm ALWAYS in the serious part, because I take my likes very seriously, no matter how the rest of the world see it. ¿Kaijus? ¿Mechs? ¿Sy-fy Horror? I TAKE THEM VERY SERIOUSLY. Believe me, the massive comment I write, I put them in RUclips channels (In English and spanish), and reddit and the people that agreed with me, was part of that serious side. Basically, the casual and not so serious part of the fandom (That are the majority) are pleased or at least conform with the ending, but the serious one, who theorize, analize, love every part of the show, is DISSAPOINTED.
1:43 N got the ship because at of ep 7 Uzi gives N the keys to the ship and you're probably wondering how the hell did Uzi get the keys well the ship is the same one J also flys in ep 7 but how did Uzi get keys J drop them. Yeah thats it.
Yagsterr said everything I needed to say. Thank you yagsterr, and thank you Murder Drones and Liam. I honestly feel like this was Liam’s episode. He has his OC’s just fighting like toy figurines, anime night core music in the background. And it’s so cringey I love it. Just watch Sarcastic Chorus ( never mind because I saw you there 😂 . You’re everywhere.) I honestly think this is a way to say embrace cringe.
This was genuinely a great review-all of your criticisms were valid, and it was genuinely nice to see you talk about the flaws this episode has. Nothing is without its flaws, and even with that this finale *was* absolute cinema. But the best part was watching you freak out over Braiden coming back, holy shit your reactions make me CACKLE 😭
N actually stole the spaceship from J, as the drawing J holds says "I o u 1 spaceship" on it, and Cyn/The Solver takes the spaceship from N and Uzi and well it gets 'combarded' as quoted from Lizzy. (DM any spelling errors)
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I THINK!! I definitely would've gave glitch and Liam like another 5 minutes of the episode, but this finale, though not perfect, was 1000000% PEAK!!! And nothing will change my mind about that statement. Thankyou Yagster, and everyone else in the Murder Drones Community! But most importantly, thank-you Glitch, and Liam, and I can't wait to see what's next for Liam in the future and indie animation as a whole. I'm happy I got to be on this ride for the whole 2 years and a half! :3
It wasn’t perfect, as they screwed up a bunch of characters like J and Thad and Nori, as well as there being lots of loose ends, but V’s hallway scene was great and Cyn instantly became my favourite character! I’d give it like an 8/10 EDIT: I MEANT 8/10 NOT 8/19 SORRY
i think cyn saying "bad job, V" might not've meant that she was working with cyn, but just that cyn heard V say "we do our jobs and that thing leaves us alone". we know cyn was present, lurking around in episode 4, when she said that line, so it could be that. I could be wrong, doesnt matter too much for me, still adds to her character the same amount knowing she was talking about cyn instead of uzi.
*that* possibly and the fact that V, judging by her tone of voice during the hallway scene, seemed relatively confused. Because you’d think she would’ve said something if she knew Tessa was cyn the whole time during episode 6. Hell. 'Tessa' said ‘I haven’t been telling V everything'
“And then V kind of just…” Singlehandedly makes me fully understand her whole character arc instantly, making me actually sympathize with her for the first time, bumping her up to my third favorite MD character with just one short scene. Oh yeah, and she almost got N killed. That too.
Alright, you weren’t kidding about this being one of your best videos next to your 'if episode 7 saved the show'. Which is kind of funny with how I personally like to view episodes 7 and 8. As I’ve said plenty of times on your polls and other places here and there, I just enjoy viewing episodes 7 and 8 as one big episode. Wont fix all the issues but it helps. Episode 8 as it is a fun character-driven climactic fight scene. V and Uzi got rounded out *fantastically*, and the main trio of Murder Drones really did feel like a trio. You are right they should’ve interacted but small like V and Uzi looking at one another says a lot. Those two got elevated a lot and I adore it to bits. Loved this episode, even if it feels more like a season finale, rather than series. And well. Yeah. I can agree with a lot of this. ESPECIALLY your conclusion. Which from there I’m going to ramble a bit. Something about this episode’s reception that’s bothering me about how *overly* hostile people can get about others just liking it. It’s fine to have problems absolutely, but people have been overdoing it. I recall how people were rude and obnoxious to ya Yagsterr under aycosmick’s video where you sung about how neat the episode is. And that frankly sucks to see. Hell I saw one RUclipsr, while tuning into their stream, claim you were doing 'toxic positivity' just because you genuinely thought it was peak and liked it. Mentioned you, adobe, etc. when like in reality you’re a pretty level guy about the show. And you were being honest. Overall though? Murder Drones is a fun romp. Robo Christ knows what’s going to happen next but I’m here for it. Especially for you Yagsterr, be it that teased TADC thing from your qna vid or the Tesscyn thing against those two RUclipsrs. Wish you nothing but the best Yagsterr.
Christ I think this is the longest video I’ve made on this channel. Thank you Liam, Glitch, Murder Drones, for providing a grim but fun time when I sometimes needed it the most.
I appreciate you sticking with me throughout this wild ride, Eclipse. You’re one of my favorite regulars that comment on my vids; it really wouldn’t be the same without you.
the thing about cyn ...she is just as powerful as uzi just more experienced with those powers and that scene with uzi telling her"bite me" and she is like ok...nearly killing both, making her feel soo much stronger then what she is
I do love this episode the fight scenes and the music *chef's kiss* but the credits raised questions and there are things that still need to be answered also they sorta forgot about the teaser of two characters silhouettes in front of a door *WE STILL NEED ANSWERS!*
16:46 Two things 1. It didn't retcon anything, the flashback likely happened AFTER the flashback we saw 2. It is more of a real flashback than you think They are memories, not a simulation. Even though they were actively being tampered with, they were attempting to show reality in the best way they could. For example, the humans ignored the weird flesh drone(V) and carried on with the gala, something they definitely would not have done, if it was reality. But, if it was a memory, simply trying to mimic reality, then it makes perfect sense why they'd ignore it. In that very same scene, V leaves J and Tessa alone, but goes after N and Uzi. That wouldn't make much- if any sense, unless N and Uzi were NOT meant to be there. Uzi was tampering with the memories, and V was(for the most part) a manifestation of the memories, trying to correct themselves. Edit: I should have finished watching the video because WOW Did you not listen to character dialogue AT ALL? You seem to have a very mild misunderstanding of V's relationship with Cyn, and that's somewhat understandable(Even though you showed the scene where Cyn literally explained, but to be fair, it was pretty quick). What I'm really upset about is your complete misunderstanding of J. Honestly, I don't even have the energy to explain to you what her actual motives are for siding with Cyn, but I think you'd get a better understanding if... you.. yknow.. listened to the dialogue? I feel bad being the stereotypical mean murder drones viewer, but DANG do you have some fundamental misunderstandings
Nah you good, don't worry about having to "be the mean stereotypical" MD viewer, cause you aren't. There isn't anything wrong with wanting to give clarity and to want to help out others, you're a good dude for that.
I miss murder drones 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. But as always, I love doing anything but still bite me.
I think it remains a very good ending because it answers the main question of the series, gives an end to the antagonist of the series, develops the relationship between Uzi, N and V. The other characters were only extras in the end, tools to raise the 3 main characters. The only real unanswered questions would be, What happens to Uzi's mother at the end? what is the real purpose of Solver other than being a kind of bug or debug? Did Cyn destroy all the systems where there were humans?
WE SHITTIN' ON EP5 WITH THIS ONE jokes aside, good review and many valid points, i pretty much agree with all you said although you did forget to mention 1 important line of V when you talked about her. Episode 4 during her argument with N she said "we do our job and that THING leaves us alone", now with ep8 this line actually makes a lot more sense including her behavior prior to ep4 (which you did mention)
i just watched episode 8 again when cyns heart was being destroyed i noticed you could hear someone that sounds oddly like tessa scream "MOM!!!!!!!!!" near the end you could hear tessa scream for her mom while she was being skinned alive
One thing I will say is that I don’t think episode 5 got retconned so much as we just saw a different perspective. Like yes we saw episode 5 from an unreliable perspective but it was still reliable to an extent. When we see N’s basement flashbacks in ep 8 it’s still showing him being torn apart in the basement just like episode 5. Another thing too, but the Solver and Cyn are 2 different entities. The Solver is like a line of corrupting code and a virus at the same time, it needs a host like Nori, Cyn, and Uzi. Cyn is its primary host and it uses Cyn’s mannerisms and memories to manipulate the cast especially N and V on the finale. Also you can turn in subtitles and literally see when the Solver is speaking
In my opinion J can be fixed and still be loyal to SIN would be to give her a separate "episode" in which she tries to get away from Sin, or get revenge, but every time she does, all those around her that help, die, again, and again, and again, untill she brakes. that would paint her in a broken state rather then "I like the winners" as a reason.
1:47 Remember in episode 7 when j is piloting the same ship and loses the key? The key falls down the hole and Uzi sees an opportunity right before her sacrifice. That little thing she throws at N before falling down the hole is the key to the spaceship. N is piloting the same ship J had at the end of episode 7
13:07 nah man, I was actually expecting Cyn to win because in my knowledge, there is no way to beat Cyn, even killing her is not enough. But i was a little disappointed and very lost on how powerful cyn is, and i can say is that they Nerf Cyn a lot in episode 8.
J siding w cyn could be that she knows if she tried to resist she'll just die over and over or worse, so no point in losing respect/reputation w cyn if your going to be working with her for the foreseeable future. I also think that J thinks that uzi, v, and n cant defeat cyn so joining their team would, again, just be bad for J's relationship with cyn. But I do think even if that IS the case J still should've said something more than 'it tricked me too' or even explain the situation to V.
As a casual enjoyer of the show who stopped watching after the third episode and only started rewatching every episode when episode 8 dropped, I LOVED THIS FINALE!!! Like the difference between this episode and the second best episode is like so big (not saying the other episodes were bad, just saying the episode was THAT GOOD for me). It has amazing action, comedy, and horror and fixes so many flaws. Like cyn went from a kinda cool but annoying villain into my second favorite character!!!
Also the breakcore final battle was AMAZING Also also this episode having way less dialogue was genius (basically show not tell) Idk I could talk about this finale alone for hours! Probably just as much or more than the entire series!
(Warning emotional long ass comment with inspiring feels) (i'm spanish so maybe there's also poor english) I feel Murder Drones has become a show that feels incomplete and in return has damaged its quality, but... It has done something to me, something that changed my life (literally the entire MD fandom). The show was about to release episode 5 at the time i found out it's existance, i clicked a random recomendation, so random in fact that it was a portuguese channel with a clip of the show, (i don't know what gave me the urge to do it but it happened) and it interested me enough to search it and found it, i thought it's made from the same people that made those funny mario animations later i read Murder Drones episode 1 and i clicked... and i fell in love with the show. i don't know why, maybe was the environment, the lore, most probably the characters being robots, that felt very unique and interesting to me, then i got excited for episode 5 then i got into seeing all Murder Drones related things i could find and i think i became a Murder Drones fan. the time passed and i felt worry, worry that what could happen, and then it happened. I felt sad, this show had too much potential was it all wasted? it was so tragic seeing this show feel incomplete and rushed, but now understand how to see this show and what is the point of being a Murder Drones fan This show has changed my way of viewing shows. characters, conflicts, story, lore, this show had everything, i felt that i was watching a genuinely good show with a well written story. But that's now in the past, but that's the point. i felt all of that, it doesn't need to be for nothing, i don't feel sad because it is in the past, i feel happy because it happened, i love this show and it gave me so much, i love this characters, and i will never stop. This show had a feeling that i didn't fully understand, it was most prominent in episode 1 to 4, when i saw Murder Drones Intermission i realized what it was it was the all the character related stuff, the characters feelling alive and appealing, having complex feelings and as such, the thing that really made me fall in love with me where all of this things. Maybe Murder Drones with it's incompletnes can serve as a starting point of practicing writing, animating, drawing skills or making new stories or continuations for enjoyment? idk i felt like writing this paragraph because i felt like it but it's kinda far fetched Edit: well it's not that far fetched i see so much fan proyects be released and have good quality overall, maybe the fandom can fix murder drones! IT CAN!!! This is something that when seeing this video i wanted to expell to i suppose, the MD fandom but it kinda also is a declaration of my love for Murder Drones, i hope it make you think (the reader) (in a good way!) BYE MURDER DRONES!!!
Im kinda sad at how Tessa was handled. She was dead THIS WHOLE TIME and when characters learn about it everyone is like "eh who cares anyway" Yeah J and V knew but N didn't and him and Tessa were pretty close friends its sad that he never even acknowledges her. Great vid btw
I’m hoping the short form bits of content Glitch and Liam said they’d be interested in doing gets made to help clear some stuff up or add to the characters. It’d be nice to see maybe some filler information or flashbacks to help explain their backstories and build on the universe. For example, show J’s realization and thought process when she discovered Cyn killed Tessa. I understand her character is probably meant to just be a cruel or antagonistic role, but it’d be neat to see how she became like that. That, or maybe an extension to what happens AFTER the series ended. A series end doesn’t necessarily mean a franchise’s end, and having a comic or short 5 minute video showing how each character deals with their new existence would be great (I personally want to see what happens to J since she’s alive; is she going to try and redeem herself, or leave and wander the emptiness of space for the rest of her, presumably eternal, life?) Hell, maybe the reason why this doesn’t feel like a true finale, but rather a way for them to build upon it, is if they decide to revisit it without creating another large show. It is a shame that more wasn’t made for this series, but I’m at least glad I got to experience it from the start.
I can understand why it was rush since Liam never really had experience at writing endings. I’m pretty sure this is his first and only show to actually end properly
He had one other show called The Black Dogs on his old channel Scary Story Time With Liam, but I can't think of any others.

Yeah like. The most gripping issue I got over with. It’s still Murder Drones. Completed episode 7.
Just the animation and the work by Aj Dispirito in here carries it for me

i feel like the reason that J sided with Cyn in the end is because she knew what Cyn was capable of, and is actively so scared of losing that she would rather side with Cyn than try and rebel, die, get revived, try again, die, get revived, etc
this is more clear when you think about the line she says to V "You know there's no escape, even in death!" she's saying that even if they die, Cyn will just bring them back and might even wipe their memories like they did to N

Well since i wont be able to watch the premiere ig i will leave my thoughts on this now.
Absolute end will definitely be the most controversial episode in the series. Personally im starting to have some mixed feelings about this episode after vanity's video
Things that i liked:
- The music (as always peak)
- The animation quality. The fight scenes were very well made
- Cyn being a great villain. I like that she acts so silly and cute but also at the same time does some messed up things
- The horror aspect of it (especially the hallway scene)
- N having a PTSD
- V's development in this episode
- The comedy. The jokes were actually funny and didnt ruin the tension at all
- Cyn's downfall
- May sound weird but i feel like the NUzi moments werent really forced in this episode
- Teacher cameo
- Braidens corpse mentioned🗣🔥
Things i have mixed/neutral opinions on:
- J's development.
What we got wasnt bad but it definitely could have been better
- The ending is kinda meh. It isnt bad but its just kinda too basic for me. We should have had some more death in this episode imo
Thing i didint like/wish we could have seen:
- The runtime.
We def needed a Doorman reunion. And J as well.
reminder that Khan is the ONLY reason N survived the finale
I think the best way that I can describe this episode is that I can only think of it’s flaws when I’m not watching it. Whenever I watch it, it’s nothing but pure entertainment.
Very true
Goes to show how this episode just depends on actions and visuals...
Season two is real RAHH

With an extra 10 minutes we could have had:
Unpossessed Cyn scene
J having a mental breakdown over Tessa
Proper Khan/Nori reunion
N freaking out and thinking Uzi is dead.
@@Yagsterr J fans and Doll fans can both agree that we got a very unceremonious ending

Can’t wait for my analysis of J to come out so I can finally get my full thoughts on her out there. Especially considering your thoughts on it. ANYWAYS lemme leave my obligatory comment on how V is peak and is very cool and was the best part of the episode
4:22 WOAH WHAT
For a finale it's great although feels more like a season finale than a series finale. Do like how it was short felt short and kinda sweet well sweet in that the fandom didn't have to feel scared or concerned for like 20 minutes. That and with it being action packed it being short makes sense
After all we all agreed that was a audiovisual masterpiece that we thank
Meh, episode 8 was fine I guess. But for a Murder Drones episode, let alone A FINALE?!
They failed on so many characters, J, Khan, Nori, N, what even was the point of bring Lizzy and Thad back?
V's hallway scene is great, but the problem is its 3 episodes too late, and her return actively makes episode 6 and this episode worse by ruining the stakes.
Uzi and Cyn are peak this episode.
7.5/10
They fumbled,
Should have been better, but it could have been worse.
Same. Uzi and Cyn were the highlight this ep

I'm so excited, even when I dont have the best opinión on the episodes I really was excited to hear you talk about It.
21:25
Okay what the hell.
Uzi killing Cyn still doesn’t redeem her for killing our boy, Braiden lol.
FACTS
1:43 at the end of ep 7, when J got hit by the bus, she dropped her keys(that Cyn gave her) down the hole. Uzi sees this and does the whole “die mad” thing, and if you look closely, you can see that she didn’t just launch N out the cathedral with her solver powers; she saw the keys falling and put them against N’s chest and launched him using it.
The fact Cyn’s downfall was second lowest on the poll clearly means Cyn is loved more than hated. I want to see more of my psychopathic Eldritch bean
Cyn is one of the best villains ever made lol, she’s this perfect blend of childlike joy mixed with a sick twisted psychopath, all while maintaining a unique character
Honestly Absolute end didnt hit as hard for me as dead end or mass destruction, but it was still a really fun watch so id say its still really good :)
I agree 👍. Episode 7 is still my favorite episode in the show.
OUR BOY BRAIDEN IS THERE!!!
Let's take a look at Khans journey in the series:
- ep 1: after loosing Nori, Khan goes extra hard on making doors and keeping workers safe, but neglects Uzi in the process.
Damn, that rail gun got some INSANE beef with J lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣
But yeah I totally agree, Khan was kinda wasted in this last episode
Also I just thought of something, in episode 8, even if we DON'T get an interaction like what you said, something simple that they could have done with the "Khan closes a door" bit, is that instead of just closing the door, he uses the rail gun.
Even THAT would have done this character arc a TIIIIIIIIINY but of justice.
@@KitKat_kittykat yeah, I think I would be satisfied if he at least used the railgun, making that full circle to ep 1.
10:56 “its not worth crying over” YES! IT IS! 😭😭

The thing about cyn was that she could've killed N and Uzi if she wanted but was playing around, she even expressed this in the final fight with how much fun she was having

MY HONEST OPINION
Murder Drones, the series was getting really serious and dark by the penultimate episode, plus it reminded me of Shingeki no Kyojin since the initial story turned out to be a lie.
More Thoughts about Ep8
The main story ended up pretty good, in fact, the more time passes the better my perspective of the episode is, but it's like if a building burned down and you say: "Well, at least the 1st floor and the foundation are okay", but the rest of the place is a mess, that's having "tunnel vision", focusing on just one point and forgetting the rest.

It wasn’t perfect, as they screwed up a bunch of characters like J and Thad and Nori, as well as there being lots of loose ends, but V’s hallway scene was great and Cyn instantly became my favourite character! I’d give it like an 8/10

3. Action
i think cyn saying "bad job, V" might not've meant that she was working with cyn, but just that cyn heard V say "we do our jobs and that thing leaves us alone". we know cyn was present, lurking around in episode 4, when she said that line, so it could be that. I could be wrong, doesnt matter too much for me, still adds to her character the same amount knowing she was talking about cyn instead of uzi.
Ahhhh true. Very valid point, Ashika!
*that* possibly and the fact that V, judging by her tone of voice during the hallway scene, seemed relatively confused.
Because you’d think she would’ve said something if she knew Tessa was cyn the whole time during episode 6. Hell. 'Tessa' said ‘I haven’t been telling V everything'
anything said, heard or seen by V or N before Episode 5 was probably ran by the Solver since it still had control over them both
“And then V kind of just…”
Singlehandedly makes me fully understand her whole character arc instantly, making me actually sympathize with her for the first time, bumping her up to my third favorite MD character with just one short scene.
Oh yeah, and she almost got N killed. That too.
alright we gotta make up our sentence endings for "And then V kind of just..." mine is spontaneously combusted
Thank you Liam, Glitch, Murder Drones, for providing a grim but fun time when I sometimes needed it the most.

the thing about cyn ...she is just as powerful as uzi just more experienced with those powers
and that scene with uzi telling her"bite me" and she is like ok...nearly killing both, making her feel soo much stronger then what she is
I do love this episode the fight scenes and the music *chef's kiss* but the credits raised questions and there are things that still need to be answered also they sorta forgot about the teaser of two characters silhouettes in front of a door
*WE STILL NEED ANSWERS!*
16:46
Two things
1. It didn't retcon anything, the flashback likely happened AFTER the flashback we saw
2. It is more of a real flashback than you think
They are memories, not a simulation.
Edit: I should have finished watching the video because WOW
Did you not listen to character dialogue AT ALL?

I think it remains a very good ending because it answers the main question of the series, gives an end to the antagonist of the series, develops the relationship between Uzi, N and V.
The other characters were only extras in the end, tools to raise the 3 main characters.
The only real unanswered questions would be,
What happens to Uzi's mother at the end? what is the real purpose of Solver other than being a kind of bug or debug? Did Cyn destroy all the systems where there were humans?
The fact that he puts a timestamp in a premier.
😂
WE SHITTIN' ON EP5 WITH THIS ONE
jokes aside, good review and many valid points, i pretty much agree with all you said
although you did forget to mention 1 important line of V when you talked about her. Episode 4 during her argument with N she said "we do our job and that THING leaves us alone", now with ep8 this line actually makes a lot more sense including her behavior prior to ep4 (which you did mention)
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
i just watched episode 8 again
when cyns heart was being destroyed
i noticed you could hear someone that sounds oddly like tessa scream "MOM!!!!!!!!!" near the end
you could hear tessa scream for her mom while she was being skinned alive
Yagsterr: "Ive never hated a villian more than I hated Cyn"
Belos: "Allow me to introduce myself"
This Episode was just truly great and dispite it even with have what 3-4 flaws. Episode 8 was AMAZING.
Got to love that the sentinel just sat there. What did V do to that thing
8:12 “The gang are all happy” V in the corner
If it was longer and the writing balanced the action, it would’ve been perfect
In my opinion J can be fixed and still be loyal to SIN would be to give her a separate "episode" in which she tries to get away from Sin, or get revenge, but every time she does, all those around her that help, die, again, and again, and again, untill she brakes. that would paint her in a broken state rather then "I like the winners" as a reason.
1:43 N got the keys to the ship at the end of episode 7 when Uzi catches them in mid air and throws them to N
Wow V has a really bad experience with hallways... and eternal dream
Yeahhhhhhhhhh
13:07 nah man, I was actually expecting Cyn to win because in my knowledge, there is no way to beat Cyn, even killing her is not enough. But i was a little disappointed and very lost on how powerful cyn is, and i can say is that they Nerf Cyn a lot in episode 8.
That is true. We wouldn't have gotten this ending if the circumstances were any different.
They could've done so much better with J....
What will fill the murder drones void in my heart
2:41 this is genuinely the best entrance to a song/ fight i have ever seen
PEAK
As a casual enjoyer of the show who stopped watching after the third episode and only started rewatching every episode when episode 8 dropped,
I LOVED THIS FINALE!!!
Also the breakcore final battle was AMAZING
Also also this episode having way less dialogue was genius (basically show not tell)
Idk I could talk about this finale alone for hours! Probably just as much or more than the entire series!
The writing sank this episode hard, but the action managed to carry it even harder.
(Warning emotional long ass comment with inspiring feels) (i'm spanish so maybe there's also poor english)
I feel Murder Drones has become a show that feels incomplete and in return has damaged its quality, but...
I felt sad, this show had too much potential was it all wasted? it was so tragic seeing this show feel incomplete and rushed, but now understand how to see this show and what is the point of being a Murder Drones fan
This show has changed my way of viewing shows. characters, conflicts, story, lore, this show had everything, i felt that i was watching a genuinely good show with a well written story.
Maybe Murder Drones with it's incompletnes can serve as a starting point of practicing writing, animating, drawing skills or making new stories or continuations for enjoyment? idk i felt like writing this paragraph because i felt like it but it's kinda far fetched
Edit: well it's not that far fetched i see so much fan proyects be released and have good quality overall, maybe the fandom can fix murder drones! IT CAN!!!
This is something that when seeing this video i wanted to expell to i suppose, the MD fandom but it kinda also is a declaration of my love for Murder Drones, i hope it make you think (the reader) (in a good way!)
BYE MURDER DRONES!!!
19:16 the teacher doesn't NEED lines ! He is perfect!
A series end doesn’t necessarily mean a franchise’s end, and having a comic or short 5 minute video showing how each character deals with their new existence would be great (I personally want to see what happens to J since she’s alive; is she going to try and redeem herself, or leave and wander the emptiness of space for the rest of her, presumably eternal, life?)
Hell, maybe the reason why this doesn’t feel like a true finale, but rather a way for them to build upon it, is if they decide to revisit it without creating another large show. It is a shame that more wasn’t made for this series, but I’m at least glad I got to experience it from the start.
Gonna be honest, this isn’t a perfect ending.. they gave us even more questions at the credits we need a season three now 😭
