Do you use a method for making your juggling quieter? Do you not have to worry about it at all (lucky)? Do you just not care and your neighbors hate you? Let me know ALL THE THINGS! :D
Growing up I would juggle while standing over a bed so that the drops would not disturb the rest of my family. When I juggle in gyms, I'll place a thin yoga mat or two in front of me (respecting everyone's right to a mat) and that would keep the sound of dropped clubs from disrupting the rest of the yoga studio or basketball court (or from giving me a headache if I was alone and there weren't people to absorb the sound). I've almost always lived in houses that had carpet but I'd put down a yoga mat when I had to deal with hardwood floors. Your ceilings are AMAZING by the way. That's an awesome space!
I play the trombone and tuba for a living, which I assume makes my juggling drops seem like the least annoying thing I do. Problem solved! 😂🤣 *Seriously though, my neighbors are very kind. We have shared walls, but I practice in the garage area, and only during certain hours. It’s as minimally obnoxious as I can be, considering that I absolutely NEED to practice, but I’m very lucky. They actually check in on me, if they don’t hear me practicing for more than a day. 😊🥰
I learned by juggling over a bed. It also helped to not have to bend over constantly to pick up drops and saved my energy for juggling. We now have carpeting, which helps, but I don't juggle as much as I used to.
Taylor! Your editing skills keep getting better and better. It seems like the change in apartments has really allowed your creativity to flourish, so keep it up! Love all the small clips from random pieces of media. Keep having fun with it!
Before your place is furnished, it will naturally sound more echoey and noises will seem louder because there are no cushy objects to disrupt the sound waves. As nice as the high ceiling is, it also contributes to the noise because it adds more space for the sound to resonate. You're basically living in a giant bass drum. Once you get your furniture set up, the noise will probably dampen some.
I prefer screened porches or at least roofed porches for my storm gazing, but with a wall of windows and a ceiling of opportunity, I think I could get in that boat with you!
Your videos are more entertaining than TV. I just moved from a house with 13' ceilings just before I took up juggling. I wish I could move back. But I'm not ready for juggling that will need high ceilings. Best solution for sound proofing is a single house with carpeting or don't drop the balls. Thanks for sharing you experiences with us.
I have discovered the revolutionary secret that the only real way not to make any noise due to dropping the balls is... well... just not to drop them. Yes - become so good, so you just don't drop them :D :D :D . Paradoxically one needs to drop them A LOT to become so good. Now seriously I also have the same issue and I just put my blanket, pillows, cushions, and even clothes all around me, yet most of the time I prefer to juggle outdoors.
So true. Sometimes you see someone awesome at something and think they learned it easily not seeing all the hard work and practice it took to get where they are.
If I moved and had to wait that long for my things, I'd sue the movers. And after all of that, you still care about your neighbors' feelings. You're a saint. At the very least, more patient than I am.
The "Hey Everybody!" we've been waiting for! At 5:46 you show us that you have a quilt/blanket. Have you tried juggling with that in front of you, perhaps folded in half?
I have! I use that sometimes, it’s good in the carpeted room but needs to be folded over many times to work on the hard floors, and if I do that it’s not quite big enough ☺️
*so much fun watching you juggle in your new, amazingly awesome space...you have enough ceiling spaces to install a nice hanging green screen to juggle in front of...which would allow you to juggle (theoretically) all over the world (or even other planets...hint, hint, juggling tribbles would be super geeky*
I knew a guy who lived in a loft with a 12-foot ceiling. It was perfect for juggling is what he said but it had hardwood floors so he couldn’t juggle there without bothering the neighbors.
My best discovery was that a giant bean bag does a great job muffling the sound and as an added bonus reduces the need to chase after the balls or get it off the floor every time whilst learning new tricks :) So glad I discovered these videos when I started juggling during lockdown.
Good solution for noise dampening!👍🌟 Since the pandamnic (sic) started I have juggled over our queen sized bed. Only beanbags but this setup has kept the noise down and my control of patterns up!
This is so relatable. For a while I didn't juggle because I had someone under me and it was just super loud. Now I don't have someone under me and the sound of balls is quit enough. But with Clubs I had the same problem all over again. Some day I realised that I could juggle while having my shins touch my Bed and since doing that I've been basically practicing clubs every day for the past 3 months now. But There are deffinetly tricks I can't do there since it gets in the way. Especially consecutive under arm Throws. I'll take a look if I can find something like that here in germany. Maybe that helps me progressing (since I kind of hit a wall (metaphorically speaking, not literally) and feel I'm not progressing lately).
Look at you, with your discipline: rolling up the topper when you're done with it. When Emily and I have the air mattresses out to house jugglers, they stay out for DAYS afterward. There's something about having so many floppable surfaces in the house that make it hard to change.
It sounds really loud because the space is quite empty. Once the rest of your stuff is moved in that should tone it down a bit (will absorb the reverberation). I think having a rug in there too could help. There is also tasteful foam soundproofing for walls and even ways to hang soundproofing from the ceiling which helps a ton. Food for thought!
That's great idea you have !!! I gonna take your advice and buy a 3inch mattress foam for my apt my room is super noisy that just by walking to my room my neighbours can hear all my steps. Ill try and let you know ho was it. :D thanks you and God bless you!!!!
I juggle in front of the couch. It stops me from walking forward and I don't have to bend my old self over as far to pick up and start again. I have extras so when I send the props left and right I can go and pick them up once I run out.
I've watched a few of your videos and they were tutorials. I thought you just juggled for fun etc, you done it for a year or so and we're just passing on your knowledge, but damn lol you're highly skilled. I'm still working on three ball juggle lol. Nice channel.
It’ll be interesting to “hear” if your noise problem is lessened once your furniture is in place. It my provide some help through sound absorption. Also tap your crafty side for a textile wall hanging or two for the shared walls. While not as severe as studio acoustic foam it could help. Or just get your neighbors into juggling!
On the knees in front of your bed or the sofa. It gives you more hight and you dont have to pick the balls up from the floor every time. I feel that it gives more practicevalue because of the faster pickup
Love you stuff Taylor and glad you are back! I practice out side so does it bother me! Also I am going to be getting you Patreon the start of next month so cannot wait!
Maybe the foam padding that you can buy by the foot that's supposed to go under carpet? It would probably take several layers, but I think it's pretty cheap.
Very interesting and useful video ! Thanks Taylor ! I usually juggle standing over my bed but that's not very comfy... Also love your streams ! Keep going ! Just created a twitch account to follow you lol
I have that same problem.Always thinking about that=) but in Russia I don't have to care till 11 p.m when we need to keep quiet if you don't want to get a ticket.
Hi, very entertaining the video, have you thought about making a contact toturial? It would be excellent and personally I would appreciate it. regards!!
Hey I know it'll be different from other things you've learned but you should learn how to glove, from where it started its blossomed into a crazy flowart.
Nice 5 ball arches! I would love for you to do a tutorial on 4 ball arches. I've been working on that for so long and can't figure out the timing or shape to it yet.
Hey, so where do I get not your Taylor tries balls, I already have those😉, but the Russian balls you use in your videos. Especially your tutorial videos. I think you normally used a pink green and blue ball.
Stand with your knees touching your bed (if you have one). If you drop a ball there is no noise as it lands on the bed - and no continual bending down to pick it up, either.
I’m a night-owl living with my early-bird grandparents. I’m upstairs and they’re downstairs, so I use hacky-sacks in the house. VERY quiet compared to my loud-ass LED balls lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Haha I don’t know where to buy beanbags like that, and I imagine they’d still make quite a bit of noise due to the weight they’d need in order to juggle. My beanbags are super soft, but you throw them hard enough and they go BOOM!
@@TaylorTries hey you actually replied :D I got mine of my mate but they are pretty light I think he got his on Amazon but I saw some that weight about 100 grams. Or get your grandma to make em for ya :D www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0057802YE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_UA7yFbEZWT4FT
You aren't alone. Lately I have taken my clubs outside to practice. Maybe once I can do it correctly I will bring it inside again. Hopefully that is soon. I can do 2 clubs easily but add the 3rd and its game over. I just keep trying anyway. My kids and wife think I am nuts.
Do you use a method for making your juggling quieter? Do you not have to worry about it at all (lucky)? Do you just not care and your neighbors hate you? Let me know ALL THE THINGS! :D
i juggle on carpet in my living room. love your vids by the way
Taylor Tries I either sit in bed juggling if I’m not trying anything fancy (not great but works) or juggle outside (but I’m lazy, so it’s rare)
When I juggle I sometimes use a thick blanket
I have the perfect solution for not making any noise while juggling: don’t drop!!
As a person who has juggled for years I have to say: Do you folks realize how incredibly good she is!? Those are seriously difficult tricks.
I hope so, people should know how insanely hard it is to learn those 5 ball + patterns.
Those high ceilings. 👌
I play the trombone and tuba for a living, which I assume makes my juggling drops seem like the least annoying thing I do. Problem solved! 😂🤣

Thanks to everyone who didn’t comment about the weird graphic glitch at 0:04 🤣 No idea what happened but IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN!
Yaa I wanted to comment on that
Love the tiny timelapse of the mattress expanding :-).
That apartment has a perfect juggling area! Epic ceilings

Hopefully she realized that, wouldn't want her to get kicked out (or fail science class).
Nice choice on the high ceilings as well as the large window/door within the same room for natural lighting. Keep kicking ass!
*juggling during storms would be so meditative for me*
I prefer screened porches or at least roofed porches for my storm gazing, but with a wall of windows and a ceiling of opportunity, I think I could get in that boat with you!

Hey Taylor! 😉 Great to see ya. 8:52 caught my eye - wow, a *perfect* line in the air! What an elegant way to start juggling five!
If I moved and had to wait that long for my things, I'd sue the movers. And after all of that, you still care about your neighbors' feelings. You're a saint. At the very least, more patient than I am.
Love the research mode and the tiny time lapse of the mattress! You are a very talented juggler!
You could do it on a mattress or over a mattress, Taylor is uploading nearly everyday!!! YAY
Lol thats what i do when I wake up and want to juggle without my wife knowing about it. She thinks learning to juggle is a waste of time.

I started doing that for clubs as well. Works at least for some basic things quite well.
Another over-the-bed juggler here
7:44 "just ignore the hair" that is gonna be my new mantra

My problem is 7.5 ft ceilings. ☹
Love your videos! I juggled for my students yesterday! Thanks to your videos and learning new tricks!
I wish I had ceilings this high, I can literally jump and nearly hit my head on my ceilings 🤣.
Same, 5-ball height is the limit here
I've watched a few of your videos and they were tutorials. I thought you just juggled for fun etc, you done it for a year or so and we're just passing on your knowledge, but damn lol you're highly skilled. I'm still working on three ball juggle lol. Nice channel.

Aw thanks!! 🙌🏻
1:03 I like the guitar, is it a "Taylor" guitar? Ha
How high is the ceiling which is good for juggling? With that mattress, can you do 360 degree spin? Thank you for the tips.
8:13 starts Boss Mode. You’re welcome.
I really like watching your videos, you have a great personality, you make me want to juggle. Much love a big fan 🙏🏻
okay i respect the timelapse of the foam expanding
U r the best
Because of u I can do 3 ball mess
Kailen Radia All my juggling is a mess
Kailen Radia I learned how to juggle and learned even more tricks including mills mess all because of Taylor 🙃
Henry barker she is the best right?
And I also learned more tricks from her
Kailen Radia For sure.
The research mode bit is legendary
Maybe the foam padding that you can buy by the foot that's supposed to go under carpet? It would probably take several layers, but I think it's pretty cheap.
Cubs shirt? Are you in Chicago?
It's 11 pm and I'm practicing with 8 layers of blankets and pillows surrounding me.
Very interesting and useful video ! Thanks Taylor ! I usually juggle standing over my bed but that's not very comfy...
Also love your streams ! Keep going ! Just created a twitch account to follow you lol
Hi Taylor. Have you ever use gopro to recording juggling? How it was?
Your really good 👍👍👍
I have that same problem.Always thinking about that=) but in Russia I don't have to care till 11 p.m when we need to keep quiet if you don't want to get a ticket.

Oh. Also, I love how you do math. 😂
Hey taylor! Can you show us a tour of your new apartment inside and outside view???

I wish my neighbors were as considerate as you.
Great solution.
Thanks! What do you mean by “arches” specifically? Do you mean when they cross?
@@TaylorTries The trick "arches" which is a 4 ball half shower that is switching directions after every cycle
Rugs Also from Target , the pallets most of the time are free but weight alot
Holy smokes I wish my neighbours were this considerate.
Love watching your videos, sadly I can't juggle because i sprained my finger yesterday
Feel better soon!
@@TaylorTries thanks, your videos really help me feel better
Its time to juggle more like its juggling time 😹😹 hahaha
Put a layer of mattress, like i did n also prevent from bounding
A softer more padded layer at the bottom and then add a cheap carpet on surface might do the trick
Hey, so where do I get not your Taylor tries balls, I already have those😉, but the Russian balls you use in your videos. Especially your tutorial videos. I think you normally used a pink green and blue ball.
They are 72mm Radfactor premium Russian balls ☺️
Taylor Tries thanks so much!
I use a feather bed... or sometimes an air mattress or both ;-D
Are we doing giveaways?
Have you tried Norwik balls? If so, how do they compare to Cathedrals?
Hi there, which size is this mat?
I need to do this so my brother doesn’t get mad anymore
Love the content
Stand with your knees touching your bed (if you have one). If you drop a ball there is no noise as it lands on the bed - and no continual bending down to pick it up, either.
It’s quieter if you don’t drop ;)
(I know the pain, even if mine isn’t as loud)
Hahaha #goals
You broke the crimson rule, always go to target in a red polo
where did you move???
I'm watching your videos
Taylor Tries....
Ball hits the ground...
Neighbor cries..
I can’t bear this sound...!
I actually had to help install that green sound proof goop before was weird.

Hi Taylor when I come to England can I meet u
Hopefully someday!
We literally have the opposite problem my ceiling is too low but the ground is not loud
Neighbors below you always love bounce juggling 😏
Pallets and thick towels or 4 dollars
Also when do you post I forgot
Mon-Wed-Fri and live Tues-Thurs!
what about just a thick carpet?
Eventually I hope to get a thick rug, but they’re more expensive and I don’t want to invest in something like that until I know what kind I want ☺️
@@TaylorTries definitely find something that is right for your place! worth taking your time!
