Good video man. Worked last night on OT had a truck mate use this on a lockout. Just ordered one. I slide it into the back of my radio strap pouch to carry around.
Security by obscurity doesn’t work. Most doors don’t have tamper pins positioned correctly as he points out, also deadbolts are mentioned a few times as making this technique ineffective. Anyone with a bit of mechanical ingenuity could figure out how to bypass these simple locks anyway just by inspecting how one works for a minute. Knowing the enemy helps one implement more effective defenses.
Criminals are the reason why so many of their tools are now used by first responders. They've invented most of these tools, and when it depends on a cop or firefighter or EMT to make entry quickly, well, you rely on the experts of breaking in to shit to learn.
That tool is useless. Everything that tool does, a plastic debit card can do. If the lock is installed correctly, the deadlatch/tamper pin will keep the tool/card from working.

I used to do that trick with a paperclip to get into my math teacher's classroom early to read in peace after I finished eating my lunch 🤣
Excellent short however informative video. Thank you!
Great vid, thanks Jonathon!
fun fact: fiddle with the dead bolt a bit and see if you can walk it back. You can do that if it's not locked properly.
I carry a shove knife & never knew how to use it, great vid!
why would you carry tools you don't know about?
@@simonk9804 why would you wear a fireman themed wedding ring
I've been doing it all wrong. Thanks man.
Awesome
Good tutorial, thanks!
I went to high school with Brumley in CO!
Thanx
"Slam latch" and "latch keeper" are not the proper terms. The correct terms are door strike and strike plate
Can’t hear you!
Get your hearing checked dude there's no problem here
Hurry up kid
Good job helping the criminals! Excellent work!!!
If your house doesn’t have a deadbolt you deserve to get robbed
It's not top secret information....I'm sure they know how to Google. 🤣

Knowledge is Knowledge it's how it's used which makes it good or bad

You will eventually ruin the plastic card, a metal shove knife won't break down like a credit card, you absolute tool.
So pretty much it is useless
