Great interview. Lord willing, Met Kallistos can complete the fifth volume! So many are waiting for it eagerly!
Thank you for your insight and explanation for us laypeople.
With all due respect to His Eminence, Metropolitan Kallistos is how I envision Gandalf when reading the Lord of the Rings.
I can see why! ❤
That is truly a compliment to both Gandalf and His Emminence.
Seriously, thank you. Saved this. Looked everywhere for an explanation…finally….got one! Best thing I have seen in forever! God bless you Patristic Nectar.
May your memory be eternal for you, Fr Kallistos!
I have found the Philokalia to be an extremely important guide in my orthodox walk.
Philokalia and Synaxarium are truly such pearls of Orthodoxy :D
What a beautiful man
Such a blessing to have this interview to watch. I am almost finished reading volume one and will be getting my hands on volume two in just a few days. Truly a blessing! 🙏

Dumitru Staniloae's Romanian Philokalia has 12 volumes. Paisius Velichkovsky completed his Slavonic translation at the Neamt Monastery, also in Romania, where the hesychastic tradition in the monasteries was strong.
Thank you.
There's also a Japanese translation in about 4 or 5 volumes.
