So glad to hear Pastor Shawn, Carlos Zervigon of the School Board, Teacher's Union president, and City Council take a stand against Folgers Coffee's refusal to pay the taxes they owe. It's an outrage that Folgers has delayed paying and they hope to convince the commission in Baton Rouge that they shouldn't have to pay. Shame on them!
doesnt Louisiana also have ITEP which permits pillaging of tax revenue by giving away undeserved property tax breaks? I believe there are more than half a dozen refineries in the lower parishes that each have received in excess of $1B in property tax breaks now.
