So I lived in one of these for nearly a year, and I recently bought a 2020 Forest River Alpha Wolf 26rl-l, which I now live in full time. Both have this floorplan, which I LOVE for its focus on entertainment. I’m a film buff and a gamer, and spend most of my time on my computer, which I always connect to my tv rather than a regular monitor. Most rv floor plans treat entertainment as an afterthought. They assume that people focus more on outdoor activities when camping, but throw in a tv and stereo for those rainy days or whatever, and they’re often placed in areas that are somewhat awkward and uncomfortable. They may be right to assume most rv owners use their rv’s for camping…not for full-time living…and that most of those people ARE more concerned with outdoor activities. However, that’s not the case for many of us. I grew up camping a lot, and as an adult I’ve lived full-time in rv’s several times, and the rest of my family has as well. My parents even managed a very nice rv park for 7 years. I may have grown up in an “outdoorsy” family…but I’m far from outdoorsy myself, and my parents are kind of over the outdoorsy stuff too. For people like us, rv’s that are designed for indoor activities are ideal, but very hard to find. When I first entered a 2020 Imagine 2970rl, I immediately fell in love with the floor plan. It was identical to the one in this video (same colors and everything), and I lived in it for about 9(ish) months. It was my brother’s, and I eventually had to give it up when I moved across the country…but I could’ve lived in it much longer. When I recently started looking for a new home, I wasn’t seeking an rv at first…but my home search proved to be extremely difficult, and I eventually decided to look at some rv’s. When I walked into the 2020 Forest River Alpha Wolf 26rl-l and saw that familiar floor plan, I knew immediately that I’d found what I was looking for. Both are great rv’s…but I have to say I prefer the Alpha Wolf. The cabinets and doors are a dark wood, which is warmer and more elegant; the bathroom can be accessed from the hall AND the bedroom, which is nice; and though the island in my trailer is slightly smaller, it’s still big enough for a cook like me, but frees up more space in the living room area, which makes it feel even more homey. I could add a large rug and small coffee table, and the space would still feel very open. The outside of the Imagine looks nicer than my Alpha Wolf (in my opinion), but that’s not something I’m very concerned with. I’d recommend either of these trailers to anyone seeking a floor plan that’s more inviting and comfortable for those who spend more time indoors than out, or who are full-time rv’ers…but the Alpha Wolf is slightly superior in my opinion, as someone who’s resided in both. I’ll likely be living in mine for several years, and that fact doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I’m a single 43-year-old man with a tiny dog, so it’s more than spacious enough, and the focus on entertainment is ideal for me, given both my interests AND the fact that I’m disabled and can’t work, and therefore spend most of my time in the rv. I also have a passion for interior design, and my Alpha Wolf is superior in that regard…no question.
Love this floorplan and almost pulled the trigger buying on but was lowballed on trading my 2018 Jayco. My only complaint is Grand Design isnt thinking about people using CPAP's at night. No nightstands with electric next to the head.
Agreed the glass cabinets are so much nicer I hate this because of that great floor plan but god why put cheap looking cabinets ruins it. Need night stands your right about that
Cheryl Young I really like the more modern cabinets. While it may be less expensive to build, I don’t think they look cheap. When we built our house 20 years ago, we used beautiful custom oak cabinets. Nobody wants that now - getting ready to sell the house and will paint them all.
I fell in love with this floor plan immediately, but didn't need this sized trailer as it is just my wife and I and right now we travel maybe 30 days throughout the year. Last year we settled on a 2017 2600RB and love it! If we ever move up in size, this is the rig for us; however, I prefer a pre2020 model. This new model really doesn't appeal to me.

Excellently done. One of the best demonstrations I’ve viewed. Grand a design should be proud Matt.
Thx much.
I agree! So informative! Thank you!

Even without cpap, it’s bad there is no nightstand. Kills it for me.

Grand design make an awesome product, but I just don’t like the cabinet doors.
Really like this floorplan - great walk through video.
The recliners are ok but love seat design is so much better
No mirrors in thé bedrroom
Awesome rv.
I like the awning on the slide and the steps I hate the cabinets I like glass cabinets
I would want 30 pound propane tanks
Cabinets are so cheap looking that changes it for me I won't buy this because of the cabinets
