I’m taking a break from them at the moment since I’m doing some organization behind the scenes to make the process easier on myself (namely set up a full, tagged image collection so that I’m not relying on other folks’ collections online - I’ve encountered site issues, missing images, etc.) I do plan to go back to them eventually!
The comic with the Dawn of the Clans characters comes from the Taiwan/Chinese editions of the books! Apparently they have a few random comic scenes here and there in that version of the books.

I always thought that Turtle Tail and Gray Wing were a much more developed couple than a gray Wing and Slate. Turtle Tail had much more of a character to her and I just think that Slate’s only purpose was to be Gray Wing’s new mate as a replacement and just served as an excuse for him to have his own blood-related kits. I don’t get why so many people prefer Gray x Slate because I did not felt their romance up until Gray Wing died. Turtle Tail just had much more growth as a character and it was so sad that she died early because she could’ve done so much more, and her and gray wing had much better couple development than gray x slate. I love how he adopted her kits and accepted them as his own, even though she tried to move on with the wrong cat (which happens in real life, I’m old for a warriors fan so I can relate, unfortunately lol. One day you may understand) . I also love how she was supportive and happy for Gray Wing to move on with Slate and how she helped him try to save Storm. I just don’t get why I see so many people prefer Gray x Slate in my opinion when I’ve always found Gray x Turtle to be much more well developed.
