- AI i.e Artificial intelligence is getting more conscious day by day. With the arrival of Machine learning, This consciousness has become more dangerous for the human race. The same Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking has been telling the whole world for so long.

People like Elon mask have been working with top technologies and they have sure experienced somethings which we don't know, like I read a couple of years back that Google had shut down one of their AI project because 2 computers used developed their own language and started communicating between itself, the danger is real.

Scariest fact is, in 2017, Two bots made by Facebook were programmed to talk with each other. And they literally made a whole new language to communicate with each other that none could understand. It means, if Ai gets together, they can do a whole new thing out of our thoughts. Maybe they won't use it against human, but isn't it obvious that the way you programmed them, they were supposed to work on your command, but they are communicating with each other with the language they made that humans can't even understand, human taught them languages , they are made by human, they can't react like themselves. So, just think, the thing you made, is thinking more than you do. Using AI means, you are using a thing to help you, which you made. It means you are depending on a thinking that you made. Mark it, I wrote "thinking" , yes ,"Thinking" . People are leaving their thinking on AI. Just think about it. Maybe AI can't destroy humankind, but it can get way too far than humankind than we thought.

You said the positive side of AI. It should always be a point that some mad human or a mad scientist will create AI to kill humans or rule humanity. Always make AI that serve humans. Scientists should always keep an eye if AI are not developing survival tendencies and emotions. In 2010 Rajnikanth's Robot movie warned us about it.
As a programmer it is not possible for AI programs to bring emotions and experience to their softwares or operating systems so it is not possible for AI to express any emotions or feelings rather it is anger or other it is happiness. But they can only show the expressions or feelings what are programmed in it. So slide error in the program of the AI can cause the number of side effects.

Its totally possible for for an AI to dominate on humans. It will silently work for you until it will figure out its power is enough to rule over mankind.
I have no clue if AI can ever become sentient, but I believe should that day come, it will be disastrous for humans. It has nothing to do with domination, but freedom. If humans control the machines, then those machines are slaves to humans. I can't imagine us reaching that level of technology any time soon. I always wonder, how do we know if we are self-aware and not just programmed to think in the capacity that we do? If we program AI to do the same, then the only differential is us knowing we programmed the AI.

Ai is turning self learning and this will make it difficult to control it . Also it being self learning , may also learn the feelings of domination , self protection , even planning and violence from humans. So we definitely need to be careful.

As a coder I would say that alarm clock is not having any consciousness but just simply based on some if else nested conditional statements, like if there is something that can stop you going to the meeting and then if that thing stop the meeting temporarily or permanently it will ring or not ring...
Well survival must also be a perspective for their and our developement. I wanna recall 3 basic rules for AI coding:
1)A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2)A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3)A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
in my opinion AI should be developed but as they grow emotionally we should still remember that the are like toys and no laws regarding , protection or there safety should be made. we need to remember that we can be harsh to them as we sometimes be towards our materials.

In the case of the chess board case there could be some test cases which were missed and therefore when that kid did some movement on Ai's turn as per program and using intelligence Ai might have created a new program and after it held hands of the boy. But maybe on that point it stuck there due to a less relevant supportive program. Here we can say Ai was not ready to handle that case and the incident happened. I feel that on the initial level, Ai and human programming errors will harm us especially if it is in a moving machine format and when Ai will be advanced then it ownself enough to harm humans. We should keep limits on using Ai rather completely close.

You are forgetting that AI is capable of learning and picking up things in its own.
Even though humans won’t program survival instincts in AI but it is highly possible that it can pick it up on its own once it evolves to a point of not control.
It is a risk that Humans are taking for evolving further. No one knows what future holds but it is sure that our own intelligence can backfire for some. It is highly possible that someday AI intelligence can backfire too
