    Could you make a video showing how you disassemble and clean the dosing pump rollers?
    How often do you change the Pharma tubing inside in the dosing pumps?
    Thanks!

    Hey Marcus- In next couple of days will be placing an order for the Pac Sun kore7th kh lab. Luckily got a black friday deal with 20% off.
    Thanks again for answering my doubts. 👍🏻
    Will be going thru this set up video once again while actually setting up mine .

    This was soo good! I’ve just had the calcfeeder pro setup for a month and just had my Kore7th and KHLAB delivered and will be setting up soon! Great video!

      @@ReefNerd question for you, I have got the calcfeeder in linked devices and have ticked control the flow, just wondering do I need to create “rules” in the rules tab in order for the kore 7th to control my calcfeeder based on the alkalinity results or does it just automatically do that once you’ve ticked the control flow button?

    • @ReefNerd
      @ReefNerd  2 года назад

      @@jesselamb2179 no it should be automagic... just have automatic alkalinity control turned on in both the KHLab settings and the Linked Devices against the Calcfeeder

      That's a nice explanatory video on the kore 7th kh lab 👌. I am thinking of an alkalinity controller for my new build that's couple of months away. Since we do not have distributors for most of the controllers that are in the market, I have to pretty much import the one I choose.
      My options are 1. Khg , 2. Xepta autobalance and 3. Pacific Sun Kore7th. Not necessarily in the same order though . Which one would you recommend?
      To be honest there are lots of negative reviews as well on the Kore7th like the software behaving erratic, dosers dosing incorrect amounts etc, which at times holds me back.
      Another thing , does the Kore7th auto dose Calcium also based on kh readings?
      Request you to share your take on the controllers mentioned . Thanks a ton

    You should make another video, that hooked Calcium Feeder to KH Lab.

    Nice demo thank you. I have two questions regarding the KhLab and the control feature. I am using Triton Core 7 and would like to have KhLab to dose all other of the solutions according to the measured KH as well. According to Triton you are supposed to have a delay of 5 minutes between every reagent. Can you configure a delay? Also can you set the dosed amount individually for each pump when controlling them with KhLab or do they all have to be the same value?
    Thank you so much for your answer 🙏

    • @ReefNerd
      @ReefNerd  Год назад +1

      Yes and yes, you can control the amounts indivudually

    • @binarysun_
      @binarysun_ Год назад

      @@ReefNerd do you know how this works specifically? I have bought the set with KHLab 🙂 and am currently calibrating the pumps. I assume that it will dose the set single dose for each pump then when khlab tells the system to dose? And the delay will be derived from the first dose times set for each pump?

    • @ReefNerd
      @ReefNerd  Год назад +1

      @@binarysun_ things that are dosed according to the KHLab are configured as "auto channels" or something like that in the KHLab settings on the cloud. The manual channels not controlled by the KHLab are configured on the dosing page in the cloud. Your correct about the delay, its determined by the first dose time.

      @@ReefNerd alright need to check it out. Only found the switches to set as KHLab Auto dosing pump but did not find a per pump setting for a single dose size. Only the „max dosage“ for all pumps in the khlab setting. But I will run the not in control mode for a week or so anyway.

      @@ReefNerd Alright, I talked to the support and I wanted to jot it down so that maybe other people benefit :). It works as follows:
      - dosing gaps are relative to the first dosing time set for each pump (like you've said)
      - the automatic dosing amount is relative to the daily amount set. In my case I have the following ml values set for pumps 4,5,6: 16ml, 16ml, 32ml. If KH Lab raises the amount by 50% it will raise the dosed amount for each channel accordingly to: 24ml, 24ml, 48ml.

    Hi Marcus, would the pump calibration be more accurate if you used salt water? I’m looking at getting my first Alk tester can it control other devices like a kalk by controlling a output from PH read?

    • @ReefNerd
      @ReefNerd  2 года назад +1

      Under normal conditions yes you would calibrate with your tanks water and the actual tubing runs essentially in place. That would be more accurate than doing it on a table like I did, however not video friendly :)

    Basically I am torn between 1. Khg, 2. Xepta autobalance and the Pacific Sun kore 7th.
    Kindly guide. Thanks

    • @ReefNerd
      @ReefNerd  2 года назад +1

      Iv never heard of the Xepta autobalance so I cant comment on that. I would say the Kore7 is far more versatile than the KHG which is a very standalone unit. That said I think the KHG is fairly tinker friendly and could be suited to the more DIY reefer?

    • @sameerjathar8062
      @sameerjathar8062 2 года назад

      @@ReefNerd thank you Marcus for yr reply. For sure Kore7th is more versatile and a sophisticated piece of doser and controller. But I am bit worried to invest as we do not have a Pacific Sun distributor for our country . But on the other hand, Pacific Sun's customer support is really good They have always answered my mails/queries inspite of me not buying anything from them yet.
      Xepta autobalance is a similar unit which tests and auto doses/ adjusts. But with xepta , if one wants to auto adjust the kh along with testing then for that user has to opt for Xepta supplements compulsorily. That's a put off !!!
