This was such a helpful episode! Thank you for sharing your own 5-year plan and experience with it. I am prayerfully going to create my own 5 year plan, and I'm feeling excited about it!

This is such an underrated video! Intentionally made time in my to-do list today to sit down (coffee in hand ofc) and go through this video intending to write my 5-year plan afterward

This is a wonderful video. I have been wanting to write down my goals and make a plan for the next 5 years or more.
I actually should have done this years ago, but better late than never, right?
Thank you so much for this. God bless you.

THANK YOU for pointing out how a few of your “pipe dreams” have come to pass!! I have many, but I haven’t worked towards many of them because of the lack of hope…😅🙈 But I could!! Wyoming (health…according to our last vacation, my hubby and I were both better on our vacation than off), etc. (I’m not putting all my dreams up in a comment - too many, to say the least. 😂)

Hi Mr. Rose. You know I made this 5 Year Plan yesterday after I watched your video. And I had some ambitious goals and dreams. But part of me worries if I’ll even be able to even complete them

I hear that! But I think you'll be surprised when you look back in a few years. But either way, don't despair. Just keeping holding those plans with an open hand and a "thy will be done" heart posture. Because we can trust that what the Lord has for us will be better than what we ever could have planned.

Grateful for this episode as I have struggled with creating a plan and how God sees it when we do that. He knows our days intimately, always before we do. I think it would take a lot of prayer and contemplation to learn His heart for us, beyond the obvious. Were you confident when you made your plan that those items were His idea for you?

I hope you'll dare to dream again!
We aren't suppose to know exactly how these things will turn out and God will always surprise us. As long as we keep His word in mind and trust He will direct us; we can be bold and step out with childlike faith!
Some Christian circles have definitely over-spiritualized our purpose, to the point of being wonky. The enemy is really the only one benefitting from that excess rumination. Life is short!
Big hugs! Dream big, God can meet you where you're at :D
Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.

Even though I spent a lot of time in prayer for wisdom, I was certainly not 100% sure when I laid the plan down! I'm persuaded that God reveals His plans for us as we are in motion. In my experience, the Lord's plans for me have unfolded as I have stepped out in faith in a direction that I believe to be right while holding my plans with an open hand. If we know our plan is not sinful, and our desire is to glorify Him through it, and we ask Him for wisdom, I think the next move then is to step out in faith. Part of the walk of faith is that we take steps without having total certainty where they might lead us, but trusting that the One who goes with us will illuminate the way and redirect us as we seek to serve and glorify Him.
