I don't know why but in the PAL version the guy says double eagle instead of albatross. They fixed it in Wii Sports Resort golf, double eagle just sounds wrong.
Hitting the flag with a driver is very useful in speedrunning golf as it saves a ton of time. You've got to be accurate but once you practice doing it, you'll get it somewhat consistent if enough of the flag is sticking out when you're within like 30 yards.

@@tru_11 These chip-ins all occurred during speedruns of 9 hole golf so it is all about instinct. You aim to do a driver chip to the flag from the bunker on hole 2 but the rest of the holes it's up to where the ball lands. I'm always aiming for the green because if I can putt it in my run doesn't die but if I leave it off the green and on the fairway I will always go for a driver chip if I'm within about 30 yards because otherwise I will lose a stroke if I don't chip in and lose a ton of time. Driver chips to the flag save lots of time compared with putting from the green but they're so risky.
