I think that's the best segment - a great mix of music, drones and some fireworks - if only a bunch of the other segments, especially in the first half could have had that too! I re-watched a couple times, and that first movie medley (Moana, Mulan, Hunchback) in particular has about 1 short burst of pyro per song and that's about it - making it just feel "hollow", you know key parts of the songs are coming up and expect a bit of "pyro punctuation" and instead ... nothing happens.

In my opinion, this show would be a perfect fit for Magic Kingdom, especially with its magical theme. While Disney continues to use the 'Go the Distance/Moana' remix in many of their productions, this show is far superior-easily ten times better than Tokyo's new show.

Amazing! ❤ Way better than Illuminations in many aspects. The projections on Main Street U.S.A. is perfect, makes everyone feels part of the show increasing the experience. The lion king part gave me goosebumps and made me cry, also the Beauty and The Beast part is so touching and delicate. Despite the fact that there is not so much pyro, I think thats the purpose here, to tell more stories and present more of Disney’s classics and new released stories. Just missed Mickey closing the show and more pyro and drones as the grand finale.

I think this show is best to experience at the park itself, on live. Most videos online only show the castle and, being a show that mostly focuses on projections on Main Street, which look spectacular from what I've seen, it's easy to prejudge and be skeptical.
Sure, but you don't need to be at the park to see they have significantly cut back on pyro for this show, especially in the first half. Even the drones seem limited, compared to the excellent scenes they've produced for previous shows. It's not a bad show, but they should investigate some changes to liven (and lighten up) some scenes.
@nightowlnzab There are less fireworks to allow the use of drones without risking to damage them mid-show. Plus I believe I read somewhere that they're trying to use more noiseless fireworks to avoid disturbing the communities of Marne-la-Vallé who live very closely to the park and in generally to be more eco-friendly (using fireworks made with specific ingredients to avoid creating a lot of smoke or noise pollution)
@@CartoonLowStudios they have scenes in this show, as with their other combined shows where the pyro and drones are up at the same time, and I know DLP uses quiet fireworks except for a few shows per year due to noise restrictions. Less of that pyro to save money is fine, but it is disappointing they’re not using the drones as well as in previous shows, and they have several segments which would benefit from some additional effects.

Since some drones figure were featured on concept art, and didn’t appeared tonight (like lilo & Stitch) I was wondering if maybe at the beginning there was maybe a “technical issue” with the drones. We will see tomorrow if it’s the same.

Based on the leaked clips of the rehearsals, this seems to me to be a cut-down version in terms of pyro - hopefully just for the cast member preview (considering they would also have prepped and run the final Illuminations show earlier this same night).

I was present last night and this show left me cold, No real story, no middle and certainly no positive ending, I assume the lack of fireworks - which the Guest is paying for after all - have been shelved in favor of the projections on Main St. Of which I expected Pin sharp images and got fuzzy ones. I'm sure it will "Win prizes" which is what Disney does best but even "Wishes" was better than this. One important fact missing was all the kids that Guests put on their shoulders to see the show, That should effectively block anyone seeing what is going on on the castle. Not the best show. Sorry
How did they make something 10 times worse than illuminations just bring back Disney dreams and replace the brave and lion king segments replaced with new drone segments

Mouais, pas trop convaincue, peut être le voir en personne c’est mieux, ils auraient pu mettre le paquet pour les feux d’artifice, à part les drônes et les projections sur main street, que d’ailleurs les gens devant le château ne voient pas, et les quelques feux d’artifice, ça reste des projections sur le château, rien de bien spectaculaire tout ça, on est quand même loin de disney dreams qui pour moi reste le spectacle le plus magique de disneyland paris, des frissons quand je le voyais. Oui là le plus c’est les drônes, mais les musiques à part quelques unes peut être, moyen, un peu ennuyeux tout ça.

Overall the effects look amazing, but the music and French doesn't impress me. The parts are a smidge too short to actually enjoy them. For example the Moana part was over before you knew it. And for those who come at me that the park is actually in France, Disney gets cast members abroad cause the French refuse to learn English. It's not just for the French but for the world! I can and will teach my kid English cause it's a world language, not French!

The Lion King sequence is the BEST part of any show they have created. It's simply breath taking how the music and lights come together.

We've been asking for a new ride for 3 decades and we get a corperate cold drone show
