    I decided to make an update to a video I made a year ago about the Evertune bridge system. Most of my thoughts are still the same but wanted to give some further insight after previously owning an LTD EC1000 Evertune and comparatively now a PRS SE Standard 24 Evertune.
    You can purchase this guitar here: www.evertune.c...
    Thanks for watching!

    Just a quick FYI, the Evertune can be setup to bend (normal mode I guess) and also to NOT bend in rhythm playing situations. This comes in handy when you have a heavy right hand. Also, you can coil tap any guitar fairly easily w a push pull pot and few solder wires, but a lot of people hear a volume loss or some other "not real single coil" stuff they dont like.

    I have had my Evertune guitar for a week, now, and it is the easiest guitar I have ever setup. I love the Evertune system. It really works.

    You mention the value of split coil options - I 100% agree. But for anybody else's benefit...that is *also* an easy option even on the ESP LTD EC1000et guitars. Some of my EC1000ets came with split coil options. But for those that didn't, I was easily able to cheaply incorporate a split coil for cheap (push pull) option - on all of them. Hope that helps somebody. No doubt - the setup and intonation on an evertune bridge is fantastic - for me, mostly because it is the most precise of any bridge I've ever owned. Love them!

    good stuff Simon! I didn't even know about Evertune until your other video. I'm looking at an se custom 24 for my next axe.. I'm curious- are those pickups pretty much noiseless, even in single coil mode?

    • @simonaustin1136
      @simonaustin1136  3 года назад +1

      They're humbuckers, so pretty noiseless. When in single soil mode they do have some typical hum/buzz as to be expected

    Do you find there is a tradeoff with bending sensitivity with the Evertune?

    • @simonaustin1136
      @simonaustin1136  Год назад

      depends how it's set. you can either set it to be 100% straight pitch so bends don't even work, or to bend at will and return back to set pitch. from that aspect there's not really a tradeoff, if anything it's better because you don't knock your guitar out of tune going for a big bend

    I have EC-1000 and I do play metal, but how is it a “metal guitar” more than that PRS? It’s a les Paul style guitar to me. Mine has coil split as well

    How does the evertune change the tone of the guitar?

    • @simonaustin1136
      @simonaustin1136  4 года назад

      Arguably it depends on the guitar, if it's on a Gibson Les Paul, people will say it takes away some of the core Les Paul sound due to routing a big chunk of wood out of the centre. However on thinner guitars like a tele or PRS that effect is probably less noticeable on the tone. And being perfectly in tune HELPS tone quite a bit :)

    But what happens if play in drop tuning, say dropping from standard E to drop D? Will that slight difference in tension mess up the whole system and require a full recalibration as well?

    • @simonaustin1136
      @simonaustin1136  3 года назад

      Each string's tension is maintained independently by a single spring and retension system. It's not like a floyd rose where that would be the case. If u drop the Low E down to a D on an evertune, the rest of the strings should stay in tune

    • @iseeu-fp9po
