Gi Qui Dao is like Asian version of Systema. It's not practical or realistic. Silat too me is, I studied Silat, and the techinques are very practical in nature. And effective in a self-defense situation.

Our ppl in South East Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei etc) employ silat ONLY during war & as a self defence in a life & death situation. A true silat disciples never show off and always try his/her best to avoid unnecessary fighting.
This is disappointing! I thought they are going to fight for real. Gu ji can be seen as a fake. The silat seems authentic but nothing to shout about and will be destroyed by a professional MMA fighter.
