"I built a house in the sims 4", that's it. That's the title, and WE ARE HERE FOR IT. I absolutely love your builds, especially the simplistic ones we've gotten from you as of late. So happy you're feeling well enough to upload again ❤
I love the straightforward titles lately. 🤣 Maybe for upcoming videos you could make the Australian theme a part of these video titles? I've been LOVING learning more about Australia through this series. The plant info was really cool in this one too!
As a fellow Queenslander, I can say that this house is perfect! It reminds me exactly of the modernised queenslanders in the Noosa area. My only suggestion is to build another one when you get to the larger plots in Newcrest ❤
The Queenslander reminds me a lot of Carolina Coastal homes - also very much on stilts, but for flooding reasons from hurricanes. So cool to see the differences in the two!
As a certified life long Queenslander (as in citizen not home style) you did a great job, it’s also quite common for the verandah to only go around three walls of the house! One of the more common renovations in Brisbane (aside from raising the house and building a ground floor) is enclosing the front verandah into a sun room :)
As an Aussie that loves queenslander houses I'm so glad for this! Thank you, it's gorgeous. If you're up for it, I'd love to see a simmer try to build the house from Bluey 😂
I LOVE these Aussie Newcrest builds. I really love this one in particular! They are so bright and cheerful. I happen to love yellow so I’m definitely downloading this one. You nailed it! I would love an Australia pack in game.
@@deligracy I would love to see you recreate or get inspired by the 'cookie-cutter' cheap townhouse design that's popping up everywhere, dark brick ground floor with brownish top floor, with big brick columns out the front and they all look identical. I live in one in south east melb and they're EVERYWHERE
17:45 In the UK owning a BBQ isn't particularly common. Instead we check the weather forecast, excitedly buy a disposable foil tray BBQ for the weekend, then wake up to rain 🙃
I live at the very bottom of queensland and its bloody freezing! -6° the other day. But id prefer that to the heat up north 🥵 Wouldve love to seen a tradional queenslander but this fits into your world perfectly 🥰 cant wait to add this save x
I love how I always learn something new about architecture from you. You do such a great job of explaining it and really staying true to what you love.
Love this build! You hit another one out of the park! Can’t wait to have my Australian themed world in my sims game! And I’ll know who built it by the direction of my toilet paper rolls! 😂
Cute! As a Queenslander (oh wow I just realised I've ONLY lived in queenslander houses as well through sheer coincidence) I appreciate the attempt haha. The "classic" modernised queenslander build we see around Brisbane these days is an original wooden "worker's cottage" (which is a less sprawling queenslander style, often just with a cute front verandah) with a big modern airy extension added to the back, side or even underneath. Because they're basically solid wood, the smaller sizes of queenslanders can be raised to add a second level, or be trucked to new locations!
I've never been to Australia and I loved the little lesson about the house style and Queensland. Maybe you can educate us when building other houses in this world. Keep it coming!
Love the Queenslander build with the tropical plants! I've seen some beautiful renovated QLDers around, but you don't see many modern or contemporary ones. I think it would be gorgeous if the Sims released an Australian flora pack 🌴 some of QLDs native plants also include banksias, jacarandas, wattles, grevillea, bottle brush, etc ❤️
Fun fact! I work part time for a florist in the Northern US, and Australian flowers are often used for special occasions like weddings or sometimes funerals because they are so unique, and I think there are some other varieties that are raised and sold as house plants. We also get them from time to time just for year-round arrangements, just not as often because they can be more expensive because - obviously - they're not local flowers. I absolutely love them.
I spent 6 weeks in Australia as a part of writing residency and I still miss it everyday. This series really means a lot to me. Also Deli, please do Blue Mountains style! 😣❤
✋️ raising my hand coz I stayed in a Queenslander in Brisbane when I backpacked around Australia in 2003 (20 years ago 😢). I love the style, we have NOTHING like it in the UK. I'm really loving the Australian vibe of this Newcrest series ❤
Omg have you always been able to change the bunk bed ladders like that?! I totally missed that , I’ve been moving the bed around the room to get them to position them right
I went to Australia last year for the first time and I totally get what you mean. Seeing the flora and fauna of Australia was for me like visiting another planet or another world.. its so special. The only way we see those flowers like the proteas is in our flower shops for a lot of money. Love this house so much btw.. in a dream life this would be my holiday house near the beach
in ireland we definitely don't have bbq all the time. in the summer the supermarkets sell disposable bbq trays and we use those on one of our three days of summer.
I'm watching your build and those door handles are nostalgic to me. Growing up in small town central Wisconsin...all the screen doors on every house had those handles. The screen doors even screeched when in use so you know when a neighbor stoppedon 😆
Loved this house! Super bright and clean, eco lifestyle and dream home decorator putting in the work as always 😤. it was also cool to learn a little more about Aussie architecture!
The build style is very similar to some builds in Louisiana and the new Orleans. They often build on stilts to keep air flow going and reduce moisture in the home.
Hello from Finland! It's awesome that you tell us about Australia. Also I very much admire how effortlessly you seem to put everything together in your builds. Best wishes and good health!
In Italy havint a bbq lunch at LEAST once every summer is a MUST: because everyone has bbq in summer, so you walk and every two houses you smell that nice scent and you just can't resist: you want it.
I think because of watching you and James all these years that it makes me think of Australia more than I normally would and yeah, a few years ago it hit me that where YOU are would be cooler because you're closer to Antarctica.
I am late to this series but will definitely go back and watch the others. I love learning about the Australian architecture. You have inspired me to build some South African homes. We definitely have great plants in South Africa that we share with Australia. Some are invasive here from Australia (Maybe due to our British colony heritage?). I think Australia is overall a hotter climate, but our bio-zones are similar. We have Kwa-Zulu Natal that is more tropical that would be similar to Queensland. But then also arid Northern Cape. Etc.
I’ve been waiting for this! I love Queensland, because I watch an Australian show called Bluey with my kids. This home came out so nice. Thank you for teaching us about the style of house Deli !!! 🥹🤍
The build would look really good in Sulani! But also on shore lines and beachy areas. But this is a really nice area and I love seeing the different builds!
So cool! A Queenslander looks very much like a house you might find in the southeast United States. Google Charleston beach houses or plantation style home. It's cool to see similar elements used so far apart in the world.
I built houses with high stilts but they'd be in areas where it's like, forest looking at least? So that I can kind of landscape it with a lot of plants and grasses or ponds which would fit the surrounding.
Yay yellow! 💛 I love this build sm and am really enjoying the australian builds. When I visited (from nz) I definitely noticed the unique trees and plants!
I love that you mentioned South Africa, as I am from South Africa❤ and yes we do have a lot of the same flowers , but some of Australia's flowers look so interesting
Ok, this is one of my fave builds I've seen in a while. This Canadian is in love with the Queensland style. (hehe that rhymed). I wish I had all of the packs used to use this house. One day.
My favourite build you've done so far! I also wish we had more Aussie items, specifically plants, because without them my Australian houses just don't quite look right
I knew about queenslanders before this. Known about them for a whole three weeks prior, which is when I learned about the style after just happening to catch an episode of Love it or List it Australia
I just saw in the sims 4 subreddit (i think) a way to kinda "take off" the little columns in the fence by building and taking down walls.. i haven't tried it yet but it would be awesome if it worked! Also I laughed and smiled so many times during this video, thank you Deli! ❤
I was just talking to my bestie about how much I'd love an Australian themed pack! Three neighbourhoods, a sandy beach one, a red dirt bushy one and a rainforesty one!! I doubt it'd happen but I'd pay anything 😂😂
"We tuck it under cause I'm from down under" 😂 deli you kill me 😂 I have a suggestion for the building new crest file. What if you did a community build of one of your favorite shops or favorite style of shops in different place within Australia. I've never been and i like to see what the downtown style would look like! Love you vids!❤
Deli, you are such an inspiration to us all. Watching you makes me forget all the bad things that happen to me. I know you won't see this but I just want you to know that we really appreciate you❤ love from Norway🇳🇴❤️
I’d love to see you have a go at the kind of house you see in Aus that is historical weather board original home at the front and then a modern extension on the back
Love this Deli! I love your inspiration for a modern Aussie suburbia for Newcrest, I have longed for more Australian styles of builds on the gallery. And I've in fact been looking for Queenslander inspired builds in the past so I'm very excited about this one. I love how you've invoked the spirit of the big windows/french doors you see on classic Queenslanders with big, airy windows. Great job!
This house is so cool. I enjoy the little education lesson at the start, I enjoy learning about houses... The areas I live have very similar houses so the ones you build are so different to what I see. I'm in SA btw 😉
I would love to see a base game house with this more functional style, especially now that the Sims 4 is free, I think it would be useful for those who don't have any packs or not many
this is gonna sound random but my new kitten LOVES watching you play! Hes super fascinated by the cursor and how the objects get the green outline when selected! lol
Deli building a house in the sims?? Truly once in life time content
I know you’ve been asking for this for ages! It’s finally here 🎉

Same. Loving the history lessons.
This!
Yay! I wasn’t sure if it was too informative for a sims vid!
@@deligracyi loved it tbh!! ❤
As a Queenslander, I’m so glad you did this build style! Just FYI, it’s very common to fill in sections of the verandah to create additional rooms.
This title has me baffled
No need to make it any more complicated than it is 😂
As a fellow Queenslander, I can say that this house is perfect!
Deli built a house in the Sims 4? I feel honored to have been alive to witness such a momentus moment in time.
It’s a rarity, enjoy it while it’s here!
I love how much you know about your local architecture! It's really cool to get this knowledge from you
I'm so glad!

The flowers in Melbourne are very interesting… thanks for taking time to show them. Nice build too.
I LOVE these Aussie Newcrest builds. I really love this one in particular! They are so bright and cheerful. I happen to love yellow so I’m definitely downloading this one. You nailed it! I would love an Australia pack in game.
I'm so glad!
Love seeing builds based on Australian architecture! ❤
Glad you like them!

I love getting to learn about Australia while watching a Sims build. These are my favourite videos right now! ❤
Thanks for giving a nod to south African flora. As a South African I am very proud of our vast diverse plant life

I love that your doing these builds in Newcrest and re-doing apartments. Glad your back and hope your doing well!❤
Thank you!! 😊
I love the Australian series, as European this is so interesting to watch and learn some cool history facts about your country!
Love this build! You hit another one out of the park! Can’t wait to have my Australian themed world in my sims game! And I’ll know who built it by the direction of my toilet paper rolls! 😂
Hehehee
Deli shows her inspiration for the build,
Me who only knows Australian architecture from H2O.. This looks familiar

As a resident of Queensland I am very happy that you are showing off our Queenslander! Looking forward to more from this series!

Honestly I really love learning more about Australia architecture! Lovely build Deli!
This is such a rare event. I’m so glad I was here for a one in a lifetime moment of house building with Deligracy
You’re welcome
Honestly it sort of gives me sulani vibes. I love this house!
Love you sharing little blips about Australia! This save series has been really cool to watch, especially love that you show examples.
I’m American but Australia looks so lovely and I would love to visit it someday

I’m from the US and was curious as to what Blue Mountains style was. It looks amazing!
I think this might be one of my favorite houses you've built, I love the vibes! I would totally live here.

Aw Deli, I love this video/house! Your passion for Australia and architecture really shined through on this one. LOVE
As someone who's favorite color is yellow, I LOVE the choices in this house. That front door is amazing!
Love this build! It's so cool to see different architecture styles!
You build the best houses, omg I'm obsessed!!!!! ❤❤❤
in ireland we definitely don't have bbq all the time. in the summer the supermarkets sell disposable bbq trays and we use those on one of our three days of summer.
as someone from New Zealand, someone making houses that are more nz /aussie style makes me SO HAPPY
I've seen Deli build a lot in the sims. But a HOUSE - Truly inspirational
🥲
I don't normally comment however I wanted to say I love the little architecture lesson at the beginning. The build itself came out beautiful.
its sooo refreshing seeing these kinds of houses. I live in new Zealand and the architecture is the same, glad we can finally see it in the simmsssss
As a Queenslander now living in an English terraced house this made me so nostalgic! So many windows 🥹
Deli I love that you taught us about Australia a bit! It is really nice to learn about stuff that isn’t about the US
Fellow Queenslander here 👋 I didn’t know I needed a queenslander in the sims until now!
I'm watching your build and those door handles are nostalgic to me. Growing up in small town central Wisconsin...all the screen doors on every house had those handles. The screen doors even screeched when in use so you know when a neighbor stoppedon 😆
It is my favourite time of day when Deli posts a build!
🤗🤗☀️

This is perhaps my favourite house you’ve ever built- it would be so much fun to play in!

I love seeing the Australian inspired build and learning about your native plants, they are pretty cool!!! ❤
Glad you like them!
Love the Australian flower tour! I have Billy Buttons in my garden in Michigan, USA -- one of my favorites :)
As a Queenslander now living overseas, this makes me homesick. T_T Great job, Deli!

It makes me want to go to Australia so bad!!! I'm loving this New Crest! This house might be my favorite 😍
this is one of my favorite builds ever!! i love how simple it is yet so unique ❤ And its obvious deli was inspired when building this, love it!!
Yay yellow! 💛 I love this build sm and am really enjoying the australian builds. When I visited (from nz) I definitely noticed the unique trees and plants!
This is VERY reminiscent of US East Coast builds along beaches! They're all on stilts to help during hurricanes and flooding. ❤❤
I love that you mentioned South Africa, as I am from South Africa❤ and yes we do have a lot of the same flowers , but some of Australia's flowers look so interesting

Deli, with the fences, if you drag a wall from the post you want to remove than delete that wall, it will delete the fence post too 😊

Haha. Classic!
