Even if that were to happen, another football game from another publisher wouldn’t come out until 3-5 years later (Minimum) because they have to build a game from the ground up. So Madden and CF would still be the only options. Not only that, but the game would probably fail if it doesn’t have the same level of customization as 2k, so it probably wouldn’t be worth it for most publishers.
Guys, please remember, if they can (allegedly) improve the game like this with the pressure of losing the exclusive licence, imagine how good the games will be with COMPETITION.

1:11 a huge thing about these traits and animations is also giving them (randomly or generated somehow) to auto generated players that come in via drafts in franchise. Would absolutely help the players that come in have more identity and feel like real players/people.

One thing that confuses me is that pants above the knee are against the nfl rules, but so is wearing outdated helmets, sure they aren’t both uniform related but helmet rules are much more strict in the nfl, so why are we allowed to put goofy 1970s helmets on our madden players but not pants above the knee? That has always bothered me especially when they showed it in the original reveal trailer.
FINALLY, EDGE rushers, Long Snappers, Gadget Players, and LB Designations. Took y'all long enough. Also really love how the game now tries to educate players on what kind of plays can counter particular offensive/defense sets.

I mean yeah, stunts are a basic football concept, but not to the average football fan. Madden is not very in depth when it comes to football. It’s very basic when it comes to plays and football knowledge. It’s a cool feature that I’m sure won’t be a huge part of defenses, but still cool nonetheless. I’m not even sure if I’m going to get Madden 26, but I’m just pointing out how they are implementing a lesser-known part of the game of football, and adding a little complexity.
My biggest hope is that blocking AI gets upgraded because I hate running the ball in M25 because the OL just refuses to block smartly. Like they’ll double team on a zone run and then run to the next level and completely ignore a linebacker

When I play 2k8 I spend half the game lookin at replays just admiring the gameplay and mechanics. That game really is a work of art.

FINALLY, EDGE rushers, Long Snappers, Gadget Players, and LB Designations. Took y'all long enough. Also really love how the game now tries to educate players on what kind of plays can counter particular offensive/defense sets.
Dude edge rushers ate the same in this game as regular lineman they do the same garbage and who cares about a long snapper none of these make the game even a little better

@HazardPlusI honestly think the game is fine. Is it exceedingly great? No. Not a lot of video games are, but I think it’s cool to see more in depth football mechanics be added into the game. I mean yeah, stunts are a basic football concept, but not to the average football fan. Madden is not very in depth when it comes to football. It’s very basic when it comes to plays and football knowledge. It’s a cool feature that I’m sure won’t be a huge part of defenses, but still cool nonetheless. I’m not even sure if I’m going to get Madden 26, but I’m just pointing out how they are implementing a lesser-known part of the game of football, and adding a little complexity.
My biggest hope is that blocking AI gets upgraded because I hate running the ball in M25 because the OL just refuses to block smartly. Like they’ll double team on a zone run and then run to the next level and completely ignore a linebacker
So basically they took everything from college football and put it into this game smh

the ability to stem a deep half, cheat motions, and gadget slot was never in any madden
