Fantastic collection, Zambia notes always feature colourful designs, and they're not too expensive to collect (your collection features a lot of denominations i don't have too). I found a lot of mine on sale in a bargain box in a London collectors shop for just 50p each!

I have 3 x 50000 kwacha notes and I would like to exchange to South Africa rand
@@patriciasmit-tu3bo you can only sell them to collectors (not me), they are demonetized so banks will not exchange them.
I've been to Zambia many times. The plastic 500 and 1,000 Kwacha notes replaced the paper ones after the currency lost a lot of value, and higher notes up to 50,000 had to be introduced. The hope was that the plastic notes would last longer than the paper notes. However, the first plastic notes that came into circulation, were of such poor quality, and probably the printer did not take into consideration that Zambia is a hot and wet country, that the colour would rub off of the plastic banknotes. Once I received plastic banknotes as change, and I was not even sure if these were 500 or 1,000 Kwacha, because most of the colour and text was gone. Later, the problem was fixed, but with the currency reform 10 years ago, it was decided to issue the whole new series in paper notes. Regards from Namibia.
